SXR I need more BRAAAP...... HELP

Like the title says, I need more power outta my ski...

I have a 2008 SXR with the following:

-Wetpipe
-R&D Filters
-TOM21 Footholds
-80mm Nozzle

I want more low end out of it. I need some suggestions. I was looking at the TBM super pump cone and ADA Head with domes and Vforce3 reeds.

Are those good choices? Or is there better things to buy? I have about $1000 to spend

I was trying to do my own research about upgrades on this site and pwctoday and it seems like you get a mix of 50/50 feedback from people.

I want my ski to scare me

Ported cyl.(art jetworks), compression (Any a/m head), ignition (Advent), carbs( Modify Blackjack your carbs or go for some 44mm) and put it on a diet You will have a whole new ski.

A mag pump is big plus if you port and improve the airflow it will get on the pipe quicker and offer for midtange hit. I would buy mag before spending buku on an aftermarket cylinder.

FLYWHEEL. Get an aluminum flywheel. They are SUPER heavy on Kawis. The most bang for the buck besides the pipe.
Big $$$

Can get your stocker lighted by #zero by over a pound, definetly noticed more omph on my sx

So I think I am going to get the following:
And I am really considering getting these parts from JetWorks:
Jet works Flow Control Valve
Jet works Water Injection kit

http://www.jetworks.net/wik123.htm
http://www.jetworks.net/fc123.htm

Does anyone know anything about those parts from JetWorks? I am unsure with those... Any feedback is much appreciated!! Let me know if those parts from Jetworks are worth it...
I got one and noticed a bit more brrap, might part with it since I don't think I need it anymore. Get one from jetmaniac for a good price and fast!

Don't waste $ on the Head or Grate, flywheel makes WAY WAY WAY bigger of a difference, it's almost like a 2nd pipe. If your compression is low, just get the head milled (LPW or Group K), an aftermarket head does nothing (and I have one).

Zach, lightening the stock flywheel is an option, but it is still wayyy heavier than an aluminum. The only reason more people don't run the flywheels is they are illegal to race with. I haven't messed with carbs yet, so I don't know what that will do.

I was wanting to get the grate to stay hooked up in the water better. I didnt expect that to make it any faster

If I got an aftermarket head to increase the compression, then how would that not help with more power?

I am wanting to race next season, how would they even know what flywheel you have? Do they disassemble your motor to inspect?

Does anyone have any feedback on the jetworks parts?

What he is saying is that you'd get more from a $600 flywheel vs a $400 head. Especially when you can have your head decked for $100.

On an SXR, flywheel inspection is easy. Pull front plug, stick in a magnet.

Look in Buyer/Seller feedback. Lots of good Jetworks feedback. I personally woudn't hesitate to send them all of my money.

Is that water injection kit and the flow valve what I should buy? Or should I just get the flow valve only?

Looks like im getting a cosistant opinion about getting a flywheel.

So If I buy the following will I notice a lot more power? I want my ski to be scary:
TBM Flywheel = 599.00
TBM Pump Pro = 399.00
Jet Works Valve = 50.00
TBM Grate = 199.99

Sounds like its better to just mill the stock head vs a $400 aftermarket head. My dad works at a machine shop... Im sure he can mill my head for me? Is there a certain amount you should mill off? Or is this something that should definately be sent off to a jetski place?

If it were me, I'd save the money from the TBM pump cone and put it in porting. I'd just send the engine to Art at Jetworks, have him port it, mill the head (that way you are 100% sure it's done right). There are some other measurements that need to be taken into account milling the head. For one, you need to make sure you only mill to what you want, and then you need to make sure squish is correct.

Then, save up for a mag pump. They are $1200, but HUGE bang.

I still don't know if all of this adds up to "scary". I really think scary is going to take all of the above and a high dollar engine, but it will get you on the way.

Send it to Art and get it ported best money you can spend .The mag is worth the coin ,my skat drive shaft splines stripped and i had to put a stock shaft and pump in my ski and it is night and day.(140 setback with a custom pitched prop from ART)
