(EDIT/Disclaimer: I'm in no way the official planner for this event, just a long-time attendee... driving a long ways to get there so I like to know in advance when to plan for)

Well, they finally announced the dates for Huckfest 2015, and just like last year it conflicts with the "Normal" weekend that we have done the Oct. ride (weekend directly following World Finals).
***EDIT*** As of now Huckfest has been cancelled, but the group is still planning on meeting there that weekend. Per their FB page:
Rumor is Correct. October 16th-17th HUCKFEST is cancelled
This years permitting costs for us have gone through the roof, pushing us out of the Oceano Dunes SVRA.
That being said, we will not be hosting a "contest" in the park. We will still be in the dunes playing with our trucks "as we do every weekend" using the park legally and safely! if you wish to use the park freely with no inflated cost please do so as we will be happy join you!

Last year we all discussed and argued and voted, and in the end (with a big push from @Mark Gomez ) picked the weekend after Huckfest, one week later than normal. (I think it worked out well, all things considered)... If we choose to do this again, it will fall on Oct 23-25, basically same as last year.

Here are the dates in question:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
IJSBA Word Finals October 3-11: http://www.ijsba.com/events/

Huckfest 2015 October 15-17: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Huckfest/537079266377275 (be sure to read the poop-show of comments!)

Pismo JK Rager Freeride October 23-25?????

What say ye?

For those of us coming from far away, the date is critical for making plans. The earlier we know the better. And with winter weather being a potential threat that time of year for us traveling, the earlier in October the better too.

Im good with whatever.

Estero beach is a very good alternative, but I don't think it works for everyone.
I agree Joey Estero beach is very nice, jetski paradise but may not fit most people and Pismo is a tradition but Mexico came before ahh I dont care wherever is fine. Lets plan both !!! I think i will plan on Pismo in October 23-25 and will go back to Estero anytime too Lets Ride

Regardless of what transpires, wife and I will be out there the weekend of the 23rd due to schedules. Would love to ride with everyone of course. Hoping to do the usual haunts, Oside, Ventura, Pismo etc. Mexico sounds rad though. Been 10 years since I've ridden there.

I know the twins who run the hucfest their friends Of mine, it is true it's canceled they are doing just a Facebook meet up for the locals to hang out and jump like they do every weekend, no large event no big crowds at all

I strongly think we should get our freeride event dates set n stone so people can schedule vacation time off Work hotels beach reservations and ext.

I'm fine for either weekend. It is nice for the extra week after finals to have a weekend in between to rest and prepare or both weekends back to back is fine cause I know people travel a long way.

Hope people step in and we get the dates set

Already blocked work to go the 23-25th. I know the wife cant get anything earlier which puts the CO weather in question. Relying on the el Nino to keep the roads free of winter. If the date is bumped it sucks but it is what it is.
