OK, Just got mine. I think a major default in the design is the fact that the spark plug grommets are on top instead of on bottom. This requires different longer bolts and spacers to make it "somewhat OK." Even after being "somewhat OK," the spark plug wires are bent in an awkward position that will probably cost some overall lifetime expectancy to dwindle.

I also do not have a whole lot of faith in these REALLY skinny O-rings meant for sealing both sides of the e-box. Is there any replacements offered?

Cold Fusion got the spark plug grommet locations right.... Wishing i spent a little more money on the real deal at this point. HOWEVER, i got mine used and spent next to nothing on it, so i can't complain too much, but i do want others to be aware!

If this is a problem H2o already fixed, please send me the updated one, and i will retract these statements. = )

Spark plug wires go out the side....so you have something mixed up. The battery wires go out the top. Then looking at the ebox front.....the stator and start/stop switch harness exit on the left, the battery wires exit on top, and the spark plug wires exit on the right side.

Guys he means the grommets groves are on top half meaning (lexan side) of the ebox vs the OEM cast bottom side. Front and back would have been better terms to use ;) The cables exit the the same locations as stock. The issue is the kink in the cables as they have to now jog up a good bit to get into the upper grove locations due to the middle billet piece increased thickness. Kinda hard to explain, saw someone else post up pictures awhile back and the kink didn't look like anything I'd ever run. I think you can rig it to make the kink less "kinky" (oh baby) and space the coil up with washers between the OEM cast back piece and the coil body itself.

Makes more sense that way then lol. Thanks for the clarification. Custom parts have custom problems :D

@fat kid

The reason why they put the grommets on the front of the box is so both sides can be o-ring sealed. With the Cold-Fusion box you have to use the OEM gasket on the back, which people have complained about. I don't know what version you have but we ship each product with updated grommets and spark plug boots that remount where the cables run through the grommets making the angle almost non exsistant. We space the coil up so there is almost no kink in the wires and this spacer is included. The o-ring groove is the same size as cylinder heads, flywheel covers and we have not seen any failure here. If you need more o-ring feel free to contact us. This box is the same dimensions as the stock OEM box so this is not an issue.

They will be displayed out at World Finals if you want to stop by the H20 Designs booth out there to take a look.

Hey, thanks for the responses! I tested it in a bucket of water today.... No leaks for 30 seconds. I'll call that a win! I will pick up new o-rings at finals! I didn't notice the difference in spark plug grommets. Only bummer is, i bought jet maniac coil, so i have to deconstruct all of his pretty work to fit the updated grommets. = ( Thanks for letting everyone know about the design of the box. It is important to know the details. I hope this helps someone else when setting up one of these fancy boxes. It is SUPER Appreciated to get such quick feedback. Good job fast elements!

@fat kid The reason why we keep the grommets on that side, is so the o-ring groove is in the lexan so it seals completely with an o'ring. If we were to put it on the other side then you would not have a complete o-ring seal.
