what is wrong with it now? looks like you have a good setup so far. who did the porting. Also, on your prop, you did the mods, did they check the blades for trueness? I have had 2 solas's out of the box be way out of spec, causing the motor to choke down.

As far as who does good port work. That is a loaded question.

There are many out there that does great work. You could have LPW, Team Scream, Wamiltons, Jetworks, Steve Webster (cannot think of his new company name) Watcon, Head Enterprises and all will give you good work. I would stay away from Race shops for port work. Also, it is more than just porting, it is the package that really makes a good setup come together. Honestly, I could write each builders name down and put them in a hat and just pick one at random and be totally statisfied.

i got my prop from impros, and the guy that did my port work is doc fang, he is a huge local Yamaha snowmobile drag racers, he clutches and tunes all my race sleds and we have a good friendship and i told him i wanted a all low end motor that will still be reliable, so he recommended carbon tech high tension pedals on stock cages, taper bored 38's, 37cc domes, advance timing, and wanted me to put a steep prop in it(only thing i didnt do)

so its been a yr sense work was done and i had some moisture problems during storage and pulled my motor down just to clean it and it was alittle seized so i took it to him and said cold seizer which is what it looked like to me2 and i need a bore and we were talking and he said all he did was clean the transfers and exhaust up, and ported my cases, then i took it to my neighbors builder and he was like the work isent bad but there really isent nothing done to improve power at all and the case porting is all wrong, he just polished it all up. he is a awesome sled builder but i just dont think he is good with the jet ski stuff.

now im probably looking at getting another virgin cylinder and top case half just to start over and spend the money on the right people cause i know i got way over charged for the work he did, wont say cause its pretty embarssing,

i think im going to be going with ethier v-force 3 or 2 or with a set of boyseens whole cages, and i already ordered 33cc domes for more compresseion.

ok, sounds like it was just blueprinted (cylinders). Any of those guys I posted could set you up nicely.

As far as the prop, your good if you got it from IMPROS. I do not trust Solas's quality control. I have a Solas in my SXR, but it came from IMPROS.
Skat, I will install them straight out of the box.

I had my seadoo 951 ported by one of the most reputable snowmobile guys in my area and it just wasn't right. Miller 1040 Bigbore sure did the trick though. They may know sleds but unless they have equal experience in watercraft then they need to stay well enough alone. All my guy told me was 1mm wider, 1mm taller.

I am going to try my new TLR "Freestyle" ported 760 this weekend. I'll let you know how it compares to my piped 701.

Specs of this engine?? Approximate, at least...

yeah, just contact Radney. He can hook you up with pricing. I think the cylinder porting alone was $150(may have changed by now). Of course I started out with the plan to have them just port the cylinder, but it seems like somehow I ended up having them do a bunch of other stuff for me too.

Very smooth power that is stronger than a lot of 760's I've ridden. For my riding it is the perfect surf set up.

The problem with horsepower is that you always want more. This set up is everything I need though. If I had plans to get serious about flatwater freestyle I would want a stroker and light weight hull.
