Fire extinguisher recall from Kidde may mean - NO MORE TICKETS!!!!!

I can confirm they will not explode at 120F. We were in Laughlin 2 summers ago and it was 122F air temperature and the extinguisher under the hood of my 01' XP is fine.

Bingo, It is not for your use but for you to use in aid of other boaters.
In the ocean that might have some merit. In Arizona with nothing but man made lakes you can swim across not so much. Boat on fire? Swim ashore. Truck on fire? Swim to the other side of the lake. State on fire? yeah that happens sometimes to. Swim away!

Lol, I doubt that's going to happen on any man made lake around here. People just don't swim away from whatever fire they happen to be around at the ramp, marina, beach, etc. MTFU & help.

With an attitude like that, they need to be required in all vehicles, trailors etc. Why my superjet riding ass needs to help a burning truck at the ramp is beyond me when my truck driving ass directly behind the burning vehicle doesn't. The point of the FE is safety- burning boats in the middle of the ocean don't have an escape.

I would hardly expect anyone out riding to come flying in to put out a fire on a truck. But if I'm launching & the boat or rig on the next ramp over is having a problem, I'm inclined to help if I can. If that's a bad attitude, I'd rather live with that than run away knowing I could have helped and didn't.

Actually they are in almost everything except passenger vehicles. All travel trailers now come with them, all commercial trucks are required to have them, our insurance requires that our fleet of work trucks have them, aircraft, boats. Every one of my personal vehicles have them. My best friend saved a family in a burning car on the freeway with his. Just a good piece of safety equipment. Even if you don't need it maybe you can change the life of someone that does.
