Hello John,

Big tricks will require waves in MO. I think it would be AWESOME with a big boat wake. Casual watchers could care less about 'what lap who is on' but are genuinely entertained by big tricks/air. Logistics and safety would probably require something more along the lines of a tow boat double-up rather than 4' cruiser wakes. I am more than willing to help/coordinate with this event though I am trying to stay off facebook. Lol, it feels good being 'off the grid' but sometimes I feel like I am missing out on info due to the extreme popularity of FB.

It seems you have been putting in a bunch of work for this event. I'd like to say thanks. Without people taking the extra effort, nothing will change. LOTO needs something like this. I mean really....... how many fishing tournaments do we actually need. I am a freerider (not a racer) but I look forward to participating anyway, assuming my ski is legal (-2 Trinity EVO ES).

On another note..... how lame is STL to not have a PWC race? Not sure of the politics of it, but STL is too big of a boating town and too many awesome venues to not have a local PWC race.

Feel free to contact me with any needs/thoughts. If this happens, it would probably need to be fairly organized due to time and safety concerns. If nothing else, I'm a good guy to bounce ideas off of.

Thanks!
John

thanks john

anything you want to do is helpful. freestyle/freeride is not really my thing so i am looking for you guys to tell me what we should do and i will make it happen.

as far as racing your ski goes we can always find a class where it is legal to put you in. So to race the ski it just needs to be safe. nothing unusual just stuff like no fuel leaks, fuel lines all need ties or clamps, working lanyard kill switch, throttle needs to return, sterring needs to function properly. also it needs a tow loop on the front the ski has to have a scoop grate on it and you need a DOT or Snell closed face helmet.

the IJSBA race promotors in our area are in wichita Ks and wisconsin. missouri is too far away from them to put together an event without local help. that is what is hapening with this race they wanted to do an event at LOTO but without any contacts or knowlage of the area it was too hard and too costly for them to try. LOTO has been my part time home for all my life. so i am applying my knowlage of racing and the lake area to fill that gap and act as the middle man between the promotor and the venue.

if you want an event in st louis i encourage you to get involved and try and make it happen.

if you want to do this speak up now cuz unless i hear from more than one person it is not going to happen. i can probably get some prizes and/or prize money but i am not going to mess with it if no one wants to do it.

I was hoping there would be a few doing this freestyle event. I was thinking about going to it and checking it out. I went to the races last year when they had them in the KC area and it looked like a fun time, just would like to see some freestyle riding mixed in with the races. To bad I can't jump my own wake! lol

only you two. we aren't really thinking about choreographed freestyle routines but more of a freeride big trick with a wakeboard boat or somthing but i am looking for imput on how to do this.

it is your show guys we can do anything you want. all you got to do is speak up so i can make it happen.

Are you still thinking about the FS show? Any way you could get a double up wake between 2 boats going on?

guys if you want to do a big trick comp I need to know what you want to do and I would need to know like today. the event is in one month and I had given up doing a big trick cuz I don't know how to run it and I have got no input on it.

I am sure if you get a double up going with 2 wake board boats you will have some guys try and make it. You will probably need to promote it though so people knows whats going on.
