C.A.T.S. - Cheap Arse Trim System - post yours!

Think you could get enough leverage by twisting the grip? Seems like it would take one hell of a twist and you could possibly bind up and sprain or break your wrist.

I know when I jump I dont let go of the trim lever until I hit the water again, so I would probably be inclined to hold a twist grip wide open until I landed.

My only concern would be wrist position when you land, if you dont twist back once you leave the wave and your wrist is in a weak position when you land... snap.... trust me, I know from experience... other than that, go for it! let us know how it works out!

se that's the thing i am just coming from the X2 with the selector that's all i have ever used. and am really just looking to bounce this off you guys and hear your ideas & thoughts. so ill ask you are you pulling in the trim lever right at the pinicale moment (like pre loading a dirt bike ) or are you pulling the trim before the moment. because i was thinking if before the (moment) you RE griped and twisted to the normal position. the trim would be on but your wrist would be in a normal position. i was also thinking one might be able to incorporate Up and down into a twist system.

Call them, they know exactly what is required even if it's not listed.

hey guys, im new to the forum so plese bare with me...

this thread it very helpful and ive read it all pretty closely. I havent seen (on this thread, i think) anyone do this on a SXI. I am going to be doing this on my 95 sxi. I have an ASV clutch lever. And i have the kawi version of the CATS system for the SS/XI ski, I am going to use that nozzle. I know blowsion sells the Skat cable... you all say use the terry cable. Is it stronger?

What else do I need (minus the hardware) to make this work? Just the nozzle setup, cable and lever?

Idk if its going to work on ansxi. You may be able to find some kawi trim parts to work. But I don't think you'll have much luck with raider parts on an sxi

Well thats why I bought the ss xi trim nozzle. I guess what Im asking is if I use the ss xi nozzle i have, the same thing you guys are doing with the raider parts, but with that kawi nozzle should work right?

for the cable retainer, i saw someone of this thread (forget who) just used a piece of metal that bolts inbetween the pump to stabilize the cable.

I guess that would work. The cable that we all use should work then. Pm Jetmaniac. That's who I got my trim cable from. Same one xmetal and thrust use (I think lol)

So when looking at blowsion's tilt pulley system, i looked at how they do their cable retainer. I think I can just go to my machinist and have him create me a metal tab, that bolts to the outside top right of the pump (the bolt that holds the pump together).
