Back from the dead (hopefully)

Hey guys!
About 10 years ago I bought a crashed superjet. It had front end damage and I wasn’t even sure if the engine ran. Buuut, it was a superjet and I had to have it. So, I started rebuilding it, but... as you guessed it, life got in the way. This old girl has sat untouched in my garage for he last 8 years and it’s time to get her back in the water!

So, here I am!

I have a few questions to ask you guys before I continue.

1) the footholds are glasses in with 3 layers of biax. Is that enough?

2) how smooth should the glass be so my turf looks nice?

3) next step is pouring the 2 part foam. In the engine bay pic, what goes in the two large holes? Anything? If nothing goes there, how do I avoid expandable foam from coming through them.

Thanks guys!!

The holes are normally covered with tape.... I'd cut the tray open and put Home Depot pink board foam in instead of expanding foam. Or just leave it foamless....

Ok thanks! I already bought the 2-part foam, so I think I’m going to go for it! I know it can become saturated over time, but I feel like the structural benefits from the foam in the footholds would be beneficial.
