Apology

I want to apologize for the cancellation of the ride. I take full responsibility for this unfortunate turn of events. I tried to put this together for the love of the sport and the great atmosphere of a freeride. After experiencing Daytona and Virginia Beach several times, my hope was to bring the same great energy to my home turf and share the great area we have to ride with others, and for the last two years I think that goal was met. My intentions were good and I'm as disappointed as anyone. I know there are many theories as to why this has come to be and I doubt anything I say will overcome the negative energy generated in the last few days. Please know this ride and the last two years events were spawned from love of the sport and those involved, nothing more, nothing less. I do believe those who have made the trip will have a great weekend. All locals involved will do their best to ensure that. For those who arrive, please allow the opportunity to enjoy your time here and not let the negativity of the last few days impact that.

Mark people think this kind of stuff is easy and it's not. I see how hard dan, Allen and the rest of the wavejunkies work to put on a event like this. And remember people we are all human and no one is perfect. Only thing we can do is accept the cards we have been delt and make a good time of it. If anyone plans on crying about the scenario we have been delt don't do it around me cause I will tell you to stfup real quick. I'm looking to have a good time and hope you all do the same

Yes it does take tons of hard work. And no one does that better than Dan, allen and the wavejunkies. Wavedaze is always so well setup and a great time.

It does take hard work! Thats why when the town hall says the event was canceled months ago and Mark just came in on this monday for the first time to try to get the event paper work in...... Ya that makes me a little upset.
When the owner of the bar and restaurant says he wants nothing to do with the event because money was never paid to him from last year... Ya that makes me a little upset.
When the first words of this event being cancelled being 24 hours before the event and the promotor and town knew it was cancelled 2 months ago.... Ya that makes me a little upset.

Me Chewy and Tom decided to not go down this weekend. To be 100% honest i still think it will be a fun time and the other guys in our group will have a blast I'm sure. I know myself and I like Mark as a person but I'm not sure i could have been civil if i went down. After hearing from the town hall I just feel lied to on a few different levels.
