I haven't been on this site in a while and missed your post. There's a group of us who are local that ride almost every Saturday and sometimes Sundays/midweek. We all meet at the Oside ramp at 8am (7am in Summer) I know that's early if your
coming from Pasadena but we've found that the conditions are best at that time. Hopefully you can join us!

I always wondered why everybody rode so early in Jacksonville (Hugo!), Until I started riding there some........... It is smooth in the morning, but by lunch or after it would get windy!

The Oside crew will be there in the morning. Double overhead and very light wind predicted wish i could play hooky from work and go probably be the biggest and most epic day in some time. Really kinda scary when its that big but getting on it early is THE only way to go. The Freak bounces to much and is kinda dangerous when its choppy and freight trains land on you if you fall off. My point is Get Up Early!!

Check out the end of Granada ave in long beach too. Its inside the break wall, so there's no surf...But you can drive out to the sand and beach skis and set up and make a day of it. There's a designated jetski area. There's a group that rides there on sunday mornings. @rhugo21

Waste of time! Just head to Oside or Ventura for surf

I'd like to ride here next weekend. My brother and I will be coming from Phoenix area. Is anyone planning to ride. Trying to figure out the best location for some surf. Any information is appreciated.

Oceanside will be your best bet for surf. We haven’t been out much due to the rain and lack of surf. Ideally, I would like to get out and ride this next weekend as well. We were all planning on doing a trip to Mexico to ride next weekend, but doesn’t look like that will be happening. PM me your number and I’ll let you know if anyone is planning on riding next weekend
