Hallow ya'll. If you follow me on YouTube, you'll probably be aware of this build that has been going on, painfully, for over a year.

Got a whole slew of Pro Watercraft parts over a year ago from sponsons, pump stuffer, nozzle, ride plate, etc for a two stage build.
First '91 550sx was not healthy, died on me in the middle of the lake, then when I revisited the project months later, the engine would not turn over.
Had hip surgery, and while healing found a cheap '91 from a friend. Half pipe, some random impeller, filter, about it.

The '91 has been awesome so far, and is a stock clean slate for handling parts. Now, people have been poopting on the project saying it should stay stock...but I say, what is the fun in that?! Plus, I don't want to rec ride this thing, plan is to race since that is the largest local class full of great competition.

Figure since it is about to come in the house to be worked on, I'd document the transformation here.

I expect this thing to be even better then @Aquaholic 550 by the time you are done. You should also run a set of dual pipes and the clear lexon hood. I am sure @TheBuzzard has both for sale. :)

No updates other than the project is for sale.

Had three joint surgeries in 2019, thought I'd be able to ride after the hip/pelvis surgery and was staying positive. But now a few months out from the knee surgery and I still can't bend it properly. Plus they changed the shape of my pelvis and my hip locks out on my femur way earlier.

Just worried with the 550 that, while it is slow, the likelyhood of me falling from a slide is very high compared to modern skis. And I don't think I can take falls anymore :/

how much? I'm interested. I also have a few buddies in your area I can relay the message to.. and yea.... if you are worried about sliding and falling, the 550 is probably the worst ski for you.
