DAG, your video I'd not me. Lol I am far slower. I believe that is a kit maker in NZ. I think he calls his boats black fern or something with fern.

Hamm's has been powering my jetskis for a while. See my Superjet below.

As for my boat, thanks to everyone for the kind comments. Progress is a bit slow for various reasons but I have some updates. I finally planned and built up some fuel tanks. I decided to do duels with a 3/4" crossover tube so filling wont be an issue. They will be connected all the time. Fingers crossed they work well. Combined capacity is just under 14 gal. Same as the WaveVenture tank although i sorta regret not making them bigger now. If I go camping up river i can always pack a fuel can I guess. My buddy has a lathe so I was able to make thread less hose barbs and mounting bosses to weld on. Using the Yamaha fuel gauge and pickup. The tanks will sit in the back and be hidden by a transom board. I have way to many hours into dreaming up and making these things. Its almost embarrassing. I also made a battery box to sit it tight to the driveline. The plan is to make an engine cover with everything under it and have walking room around it.
My SN bottom for the Hamms fans.

RSRACECRAFT.com is the American distributor for wattscraft kits. Ronnie and his wife are nice people to deal with. Depending on your skill level, what tools you have, and what parts you use the price can really swing. If you make your own pump tunnel or use the Jetski one that is a huge savings alone. Also depends on what level of interior and stuff you want. If people are curious about stuff just ask. I have learned a good bit the hard way.

Also keep in mind that the kit is just the bare hull. No pump, no tunnel, no seats, no mounts etc. Just the tin can with a dash and wind shield. The rest is up to you. They offer several part options to complete the boat if needed.

Updates:
I built seat mounts for the razor seats and seat belts as well as pressure tested the tanks and got them all sealed up. flipped the hull and finished welding the rear step panels.
All without 1 photo. Whoops :(
Need to build support structure for the pump and then the next step is to cut and bolt down a huge sheet of 1/2" thick UHMW plastic to the hull for damage control when skidding over stuff. I also need to order a longer steering cable and probably make a throttle cable thats longer. Once I get the hull flipped, building steering will be about the only major thing left to do!!

Ill get some pictures soon but my wife is also 1 day past due with the kid delivery soooo things may come to a halt any second now.

Those would be a blast and those guys are nuts.

I would still love to build one but I would want to immediately move back to BC Canada where we had a hundred places to ride them.

We used to do an annual 35 mile run up Swamp River on our sit downs but a couple of those would make it a weekly thing for sure!

Alright. There has been progress. Sorry for the delay but I'm not good at posting regular updates.

I made a reverse bucket. Not sure if I will use it. Im not very happy with it but Ill test it.

I added a 3/8" thick sheet of UHMW with M6 bolts holding it down. I used washers with a bonded rubber to seal it the best i could.
I had a big sheet of cardboard to make a template, cut it a little big and worked from there. getting the seam in the bow to join took some time and then i sealed it with wind shield adhesive.

I designed a weld in steering helm assembly based on what metal was in the bargain bin at ALRO and a great friend let me use his lathe again. The outer sleeve gets welded through the dash and the wheel bolts to the shaft. All retained by a simple squeeze collar. Then I bent a 90deg arm to bolt to the shaft end for the jetski steering cable. I used a new steering cable from a 2000 GP1200R since the throw was right and it was 14ft long. Under the dash a welded a tab with a slot and retaining plate to support the cable. then uses the oem through hull in the back to attach to the pump normally.

I used Tygon LP 1100 fuel line because it is 100% ethanol rated. Only comes in yellow. The bilge line etc isn't done yet. New OEM GP1200R filter and selector valve because they are higher flow. I may go to bigger carbs in the future. There is also a Riva lake water strainer mounted under the engine on the carb side to keep junk out of the engine. I can easily open it still being down there. Had to mount it low to avoid siphoning after shut down. Factory bilge is mounted behind the battery with a new OEM anti siphon valve. I have a Rule 800 GPH on the other side.

1/2" Marine plywood decking with hydro turf and used RZR 900 seats. Temporary usage of the jetski wiring just to get it going. I have a friend that help me out on a set of PRP 2" racing seat belts. I welded mount tabs to the seat crossbar which is welded to the stringers. You aren't going to come out.

New Skat Track Impeller. 11 / 16 Swirl for a 155 Mag pump. Impros said the big hub impeller works well in stock 155 pumps too so I went for it. I told them I wanted good bottom end for rivers etc and went off their recommendation.
