2017 Southern Fried Freeride Septemeber 29th, 30th, Oct 1

Alright everyone, just finished up everything with the campsite and as of now every spot is open down by the water, besides the site I booked. If you want to know who is where check out the campsite list thread... This year I may be in and out throughout the ride due to a newborn that's due in July but I'm still gonna try to milk the wife into allowing me one night away to party down!

Some people get there on Thursday prior, but most come in on Friday. We have had great turnouts the prior 3 years, so I imagine this one will be better yet! Everyone is getting to know each other which makes the hangouts awesome after a day on the water! If you haven't been to a jet ski ride, this is definitely the one to go to as people are brought together and genuinely have a good time! Last year went great with the DNR and such and lets do it again! Make sure your boats are all legal and up to date on registration as we do not obtain any special circumstances to allow otherwise.

Mention Georgia Jet Pirates or Southern Fried Freeride and the campground will give you a discounted rate. You must call to get the rate dropped and not online.

Trailer Parking:

If you look in the google picture, that big field when you come in on the left is where you will leave empty trailers and overflow parking. No trailers are allowed at the campsites overnight, and no trailers will be allowed in the gated overnight parking as it is for members only. They have overnight security every night as well. I would still recommend locking trailers if possible just for extra measure.

Ski Launching and loading:

There is a ramp located inside the campground. If you have waterfront, you can put stand ups in via beach cart if you please. Water-level ground all around the campground is all fairly level, some areas rocky, but everywhere will support a beach stand just fine. When we usually camp here we put in at the ramp, drop the trailer in storage, then keep the skis by the sites all weekend either anchored or on stands.

When I booked a campsite a few months ago the guy I talked to only had a few sites open still. Hopefully they stayed that way and everyone occupying them is involved in the SFF
