2014/15 Ski & Snowboard Season

Anyone have any major plans for a ski/snowboard trip this season, or have already been out somewhere?

I was going to go to Utah or Colorado after New Years for a few days with family, but the snow report looks awful, with barely any trails open and no bowls. I'm pretty bummed as i just got new fat skis, but we will probably go to searchmont in canada or boyne in upper Michigan and save the rockies for later this year.

I hope to get out on the mountain more this season. Bought myself a whole new snowboard set up. 1st time since 01. Back in the late 90's early 2000's I lived on side of a small resort here in NJ and got about 30-40 rides a season. Since buying sleds and having kids only got out 1-2 times a season. This year plan to get my 6year old daughter on a board. One on my best friend has a daughter the same age so the plan is to put them in snowboard school in the morning and so we can got rip the mountain.

My dad and brother moved to Utah last season so I usually spend about a month out there every season depending on snowfall. February/ march is best time to be out there
I love utah ski areas, especially Alta. My spring break is the first week of april, which is way too late, but we got two feet of powder while at Alta, it was Awesome!

Sounds Fun, I haven't been to the east coast in years, the weather is always too spotty when we can go.

Just got back from Utah and just missed a big snow dump out there. We went to Snowbird, Solitude, Brighton and the Canyons. All the runs were open at each mountain we went to, we had a great time!
