wetjet exhaust mods. whos done what?

ive got a wetjet 701 engine to go in a freestyle ski and im looking at exhaust options.

a coffmans sizzler or b pipe is obviously the favorites but they seem a bit sparse in the UK (right now it seems anyway) theres a few wetjet exhaust knocking about for cheap.

has anyone used the manifold and header section and added a cone to the end off a different ski? 650sx cone maybe?

From what I have read its a good pipe that requires some serious modding. Depending on the hull it may or may not fit at all, even after mods. Its pretty tall so low profile hoods will have issues, additionally it extends rearwards far enough you have to grind the hood lip on a square nose.

I have one destined for a fiberglass raider, which doesn't need modding. The mod you do to make it fit a stand up turns the cone around and points it toward the front of the hull like most pipes, via cutting and welding. From the factory, it doubles back on itself and runs a hose under the pipe back to the firewall.

The wetjet manifold has more in common with the dry pipe manifolds than the traditional bpipe/sizzler/650sx manifold so you cant make a cheater pipe out of it Im afraid, it points the wrong direction.

To make a cheater pipe however you need a factory/mariner exhaust manifold and then the 650sx exhaust system. Some extend the belly of the cone and add a stinger water fitting to improve performance even more.

If you can get your hands on a sizzler, they are awesome for the price but they are getting harder to find.

Good luck.

thanks for the advice. i must admit i assumed the pipe went under the manifold not over it. im guessing there isnt any room to go under
