Do it. Can’t go wrong with any of them although I’m biased towards the 98-03 ALH engine. Best mix of little electronics, but newer technology/power.

I like the little electronics and mechanical parts. I love diesels, except the cost of them. I've had 3 dodges and my favorite( mechanic wise) was my 96 cummins12 valve. It was an ugly ass work truck and ran like a top at 250k miles. I like my 05 cummins. It's nice it doesn't have any emission crap, but still has a lot of electronics though. Lots of power. I want to get a tdi clean tuned and getting 35-40mpg for her to drive, she's got a v8 explorer now and I'm not to fond of that hunk
