Surfriding Crazy Joe's Customs coming to Santa Monica, CA

So what's the ride report on this beast?

Rides really nice and I am so glad I pulled the trigger on it. I like it a lot and had a lot of fun. I like the updates that he did to the ski and am very impressed. Didn't do anything but just mess around inside the break wall. Hopefully going to Oceanside this weekend to ride with Jake Bright and the AZfreeride guys. I am really looking forward to riding it in the surf! The main reason why I chose a BAM versus other hulls is that it doesn't ride super nose high at all. Planes right out. I was even carving on it this weekend. Chasing boats and cruising the LA Harbor. It really is a great all around ski and with the right motor pump combo it can do anything you want it to.

Only running a stock bore 61x, lighten flywheel, Limited B pipe, ADA Head 35cc domes and a Hooker 9/15. These things are so much fun even with that simple setup. Can't imagine what guys could do on these full carbon 1107 ET BAMs.

As far as the build....goes together better than any Superjet I have built.

I have friends building other skis now. It's funny seeing all them having to mod their hoods, hood liners, having fitment problems, etc. Joe knows his stuff and makes a quality ski. Everything drops right in and he makes it super easy. I was amazed how easy the build went. I love that I can run a stock SJ tank too.

Two Complaints:

1) Footholds. The ones Joe uses are very nice and I am not calling his out at all. I just HATE all footholds and regret having them on this ski. I despise footholds even more now after snapping my ankle this spring. The tray is very wide AS IS but, I wish i did without them. I run a strap up front so I don't even use them. Going to take them out this winter. However, if you are into running rear footholds Joe makes some good stuff. Just kind of pointless for me in surf.

2) I wish I bought 2 of them! I am probably going to be buying another one in the near future. Would be cool to have a 155 pump in one

Thanks @CrazyJoesRacing

If anyone in SoCal wants to ride it, do not hesitate to hit me up. I think everyone will be very impressed riding my ski.

So while riding yesterday I was given the opportunity to ride the bam hull. I was very surprised by how it handled out there in the west coast surf. Being designed in Michigan I didn't think it would handle as well as it did in the surf. The ski was setup with a limited 701 and was very flickable. I was able to ride waves and smash lips with ease. What I didn't like was the foot holds they weren't bad I just prefer adjustable footholds. I wouldn't mind the ski being a bit longer. All in All its not a bad ski for the price.

Fun day up in Ventura yesterday. Still only 3 months into a broken and torn ankle. Can't wait to go bigger.

Really recommend anyone to try this hull out whether you're close to me in California or near Michigan.
