Phantom specs

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg My name is josh. I am the owner and builder of the Phantom hull. The hull is 73" long, has a widened keel, gradual front and rear rocker, strakes have been sharpened to create more lift, accompanied by drastically shallow chines, the ski rides more on top of the water allowing for even more stability at wot. Although this is primarily a flat water ski, it has capability of chasing down boats without being prone to porpoise like most short am hulls. With the all new pump tunnel design it completely eliminates all cavitation issues with today's large cc motor set ups. Accepts 155/160 pump shoes without any hull grinding but still accepts a 144. With all these changes coupled with the outside portion of the strakes being at an all new proprietary angle/degree I have created a ski that is both stable and releases the water. Enabling the rider to do combos and 360s. 100% straight exhaust tube without any bends makes for the best flow with any motor combination. Conventional style composite ride plate, all new motormount and insert design help save weight and just look way cooler!! Lol Xmetal hood latches and scuppers r used. Just the best imo!! Although options are available for versa plug users. I only use oem hood seals.
Tray has been lengthened 4" in the front, footholds are now larger, to accept more pad. Footholds moved forward not only to give the rider a more natural position but also by centering the riders weight it makes the ski spin with ease! The 2015 phantom is one of the best handling and most innovative skis of the year!! Phantoms are 100% vacume infused, offering the best resin to material ratio! Will post pricing, thanks

What is the expected lead time from order to receipt of hull?

Do u have a preferred shipping company for freight?

U could run a front foot hold, but u would be giving up a really great spot for e box mounting. If you run a pancake Pete then u loose tray length. If you r willing to sacrifice either of those, then absolutely u can run a front foot hold. It's just someone's preference

Can you give us some information about yourself in regards to your background in composites, hull making etc? Have these been tested and proven layups? Will there be a carbon option available and if so is pricing established yet for those? Thanks

I think Josh's composite work will speak for it self as these boats begin to trickle out. Josh is a perfectionist and hes a one man band so its going to take some time. I don't want to blast other companys but there have been PLENTY of hulls out there with composite issues. So whats the industry standard? How many failed rolls and lawn darts do you get out of a hull? How heavy do you want it to be? What materials are you willing to pay for? Are you interested in an AM hull? Whats the industry standard on tested and proven layups?

I can tell you that the glass prototype is holding up to my 275 pounds extremely well. I fail on most attemps so its getting beaten. Lol. Theres a few short videos on my Instagram. "Str8hucking"

Ill have it at miller park newyears day if anyone local wants to check it out.

Josh has been in contact with me and I know he has been in contact with others about making Steves deals right. He is doing the right thing here and I would not hesitate to give him a call and talk to him if you are interested in a hull. Seems like a very upstanding guy.

Thank you guys for your support. Yes I have been building infused flat water skis for years. over this time and help from a very large composite manufacturer, I know what works and doesn't work. I am still putting together pricing on certain packages. Yes full carbon epoxy is also available. I should have prices up soon, please pm me if u have questions thanks

I will try later on tonight. This hull is sba im not sure pics will do it justice. This is actually Josh's hull. The carbon epoxy prototype supposedly has my name on it and will be done soon. When that happens my current hull will be available. When these hulls get out there people will be blown away by the lines and the craftsmanship. Really like the ride, and ive ridden them all. Im easily getting 2 feet higher on this hull and its about 45#s heavier that the carbon kev BC prototype that I was on before. The reshaped tunnel and and foward holds make this thing a flat water beast. Its a great combination of aggressive handling, with a lot of pop, but still has that Backie Chan stability. Anyways like i said pictures just dont do these hulls justice. Super sharp lines and just a flat out killer look to them.
