Alright, well we had a prety good turn out and enjoyed Americas most beautiful lake. I know the cops were on us even with our approved and permitted event.
I know a few sugesstions have already been made in the regular thread. So I thought we could organize and discuss some ideas here, to make the ride better next year.

1. I wish there was a better place meet up, but the sand bar worked out pretty good.
2. Just an idea, maybe I could work it out with the police to just check us out in the morning at the launch, and we could do stickers (like daytona). I know it would be harder to organize and more logistics, but might be worth it, might not. I know many of us dont keep legal skis, specially fire extingishers.

please give me some input on the above and any ideas you have.

Thanks!

Higgins lake could be a possibility? Its a beautiful lake with a HUGE sand bar/beach area to hang out. I ride up there a couple times a year, always a blast with no troubles. They've got a really nice 6 place boat launch, clear waters and some awesome boats. Just a thought..

I really enjoyed it out at Torch and would like to be out there again next year. Maybe there could be another ride setup at a different lake, but aside from a little haggling from the police it was the best time I've had all year.

Next years free ride shirts. Have our x h20 names put on them so we know who everyone is

It would have to be heat pressed then, the screen printing has screens made for each color. Which means everyone would need thier own screen or two. They are $30 each. It could be done just not with screen printing.

Torch was awesome! It would be cool if we all stayed at the same place or at least had info on the multiple destinations. It seemed like only about half the riders were at the camp ground. It would also be nice if we had a few long tow ropes to tie skis up to. Most of us only were able to socialize with the ski next to us at the sandbar because we had to hold our skis the whole time. we would have to get out there super early and maybe have the tie up section in not such a prime spot... just some thoughts

Thanks for the suggestions!

It would also be nice if the campground put all the group together. Next year we might be able to change the riding area out to in front of the campground, which would give us a little less congested place to ride, hang and tie the skis up.

I did have a blast at torch lk and I would love to ride there again. But I'm sure there are better places to ride. Maybe a place on the great lakes that's close to a bay or even an inland lake for some surf and flat water!
A place with launch, beach and camp ground/ hotels ridiculously close. So we can all be centralized. Like if torch lk freeride and waverave banged out a baby real quick.
A place with less boat traffic and less law enforcement interaction.

I talked to Rick today and he had some ideas. .

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! If those two rides could bang out a baby, thatd be perfect. Itd be cool to have a ride like van beeks landing. And are you talking about rickter rick? I know him and adam know of a cool spot if they would like to share the secret? Also a place like harbor beach might be cool. Behind break wall for flat water and what not and hopefully good waves on the other side. Not sure if theres any camping around there though. But i deffinatly say keep the torch ride going as well. i love that place.

Crazy.. Just talked to him and he rides to. He said hes down to come ride with us next year. Just have to take a vote to see if everyones ok with throwing in some cash so he will bring his camera. He'll do all the editing and make a video
