View Full Version : Chads build
I was not going to post this build , because I Lost the before pictures in a computer switch. but what the hell , here goes.
01 Superjet , Waterdawg Kustomz hood , nose piece, and lowered bracket.
the paint was real cool when I got it. color shifting or something like that. but it had some cracks here and there. Superramjet hit it with the sander in a spot and it was over from there.. so i stripped the whole thing down to the gelcoat.
removed the old rickter footholds, all the foam, scupper, exhaust and repaired intake plate bolts while I was in there.
Refoamed with #2 foam from US composites.
and installed built in foot warmers as I was putting the footholds back in.
the tube inside the foothold will be connected to the pisser line during the winter months.
this is the "T" that is under the tray connecting the foothold warmers.

question about 2 part foam. can you dent it with your finger? is it springy at all?
I decided to fill the nose area with foam , and glass over it

Once it fully cures it has a coating over the outside of it. almost like a candy coating on a M&M. Its not springy.

Ok what ever , I guess you would know , since it was your ski!
but they did not go back in anyway. I installed some custom Chad homemade footholds!
Luke, do you have any pics of the painted hull???
I filled the bond line with foam , sanded it smooth . ground down the ribs , and reinforced the entire sides with 8oz biaxal cloth.

Jeff,
I was thinking a bright orange , almost safety orange .with some metallic
either all one color , or black below the bond line.

Believe me I have thought and thought about "worse case cenerio"
what would make it fail? Its not gonna rub up against anything , they are 5200 'ed to the footholds , And the tube comes out through the firewall, theres zip ties on the inner T.
I have also thought about installing a valve that would increase or decrease the pressure, or shut it off completely
If or when it does , I would know cause it would stop warming my feet. I could just disconnect the tube , and run it through the normal locaton.
if you have thought of something I didnt, please let me know.
If not, hopefully you will see it in daytona .... keeping my feet warm! :Banane01:

one thing I would do....
I would goop the hell out of the t fitting... just glob a crap load of 5200 on it so the whole thing is sealed w/i the goopiness... werd?.?.. and seal the tubes from the inside and outside of the thru holes...
Werd!!
Thanks for your input!
I hope it works out !

5200 will remain plyable, yet still be quite strong
i would run 2 tubes a larger one and run a small line through the bigger one for the water feed and attach the t in the eng bay or run them through the bulkhead into tray with hard plastic line to wont kink or squash and cut the padding to fit over the tube and turf over top of that you can make it so it will level and you would never had to worry about your foam getting wet

Just a thought, why not just use a regular thru hull pisser fitting? That way you don't have to worry about kicking the tube back through the holds or anything like that, it would be real durable.
Another thought, unless you are barefoot, will this pisser really do much warming?
Just my 2 cents :)

I had simalar set up on my other ski, with the exception the tubes didnot run through the foam. and if you didnt have shoes on , it was hotter than hell.

I have installed the foam and tested them , so far so good !!!
thanks !

Thank you Everyone for the positive comments!
I ve been busy buffing lately , Handlepole, bracket, pissers, latch, bilge, bow eye.... Blah! I think I would almost rather defoam again
Hood seal, waterbox, pump, Concord prop, short shaft,800 motor mounts are in.
Waiting on a spring for the pole. I have also been working on the tray pad, carving out foot prints. Still need to color sand and turf.
New Weisco pistons are ready to drop in, after I take the cylinders to the machine shop.

I love it , I ran it last year on my other ski , and the first thing I noticed was there was alot less water gettting in campared to the stocker. Get one you wont regret it !:woot:

They are the new R.E.V. Footholds from Waterdawg Kustom
I wear a size 11 , I ran the 24/7 in my last boat , And I had problems keeping my feet in them once they had pading on them.
Finished the turf last night !:woot:
side pieces have no cuts !
Big thanks to Superramjet
