$15 sounds kinda high for 2 bedplates.

For $15 you prolly could have gone to the UPS store and ordered a package pickup service at his address. Not sure what they weigh but I'm guessing 8 lbs which should be less than $10 to anywhere in the lower 48 for ground service. USPS priority mail is prolly cheaper than that.

how do you all get your shipping so cheap? i get my prices from ups directly, no middle man and 15 sounds right.....

My guess??? He's hoping you'll go away because he lost his arse on the bedplates because :

A. He thought they would go for much higher than a penny.
B. He didn't have a chance to end the auction early because the "item was no longer for sale".
C. He's lost money on the sale.
D. All of the above.

Don't lose sleep over it. If he doesn't respond,go thru the appropriate FleaBay and PlayPal routes and go from there.

I cant ever get anything shipped for under $13.60 (6X6 box with 2 domes)

Shipping went up (at least for me) along with gas prices..

Im thinking he will ship them or already has.. its not worth a bad feedback

Did I do something wrong here!?!
That frase in red is what realy erked me.... It all could have slid by untill this guy tryed to make me sound like I was doing something wrong![/QUOTE]

Sounds like he needs to learn the ways of Ebay. If you don't want to lose your ass, you have to put a opening bid amount or reserve. Otherwise your running the chance of selling something for a penny. Stay on his ass till you get them:biggthumpup:

I had a problem with this dude 4 weeks ago.
He did not send the parts out till i filed a paypal dispute.
The parts did finally show about 2 1/2 weeks after. They were in good shape but I would never buy anything again from him.

I actually debated wether to even saying something about this guy... its not a huge deal... its just the fact that his comments do not hint toward a good impression or bussiness man.

Im looking foward to seeing if I ever get a package!

LOOK WHAT I GOT!

An email arived today....
He said:

sorry about being a little iritated the other day. ive been really busy and out of town . im glad someone gets o use the bed plates also found shippinfg a little cheaper today.so i sent you 5.00 back to your paypal. ill send you tracking info tomorrow. enjoy the plates later.

And he paypaled me $5.00

See now I feel like a jerk haha.

I guess this seller has redemed himself in my eyes.... not for the money... honestly I add a dollar or two on to shipping when I ebay....

It was his apology for his actions that set him straight... He manned up to it and made it right. In my opinion there arn't to many things you can do to me that a SINCERE apology cant set straight.

i dont think that that guy should have responded to you that way either.i dont know where he is, or where you are, but youre forgetting that it's shipping and HANDLING.when you buy something on ebay, your not getting something from a store.its an online ,worldwide, fleamarket.you're buying second hand jetski parts from an ordinary person with a real job,and a real life, and probably a real wife.i think sometimes its easy to forget that when ebay is the only way you buy your parts.yeah sure, riva yamaha could've got you your bedplates alot quicker, and been more polite, and rightfully so-they run a BUSINESS selling jetski parts.they also wouldve costed a whole lot more than 15.01.i had a guy who posted in this thread take 7 weeks to send me a headpipe last year, but i didnt get on here and flame him out about it,yeah i sent him a bunch of emails/phone calls, but i kept it between us.i couldve went to factory pipe and got 1 ,but that wouldve been alot more than i wanted to pay.i think that there are some people out there that keep this bad feedback forum going and dont know what its like to run 20 - 30 auctions at one time.and that some of the people who read these forums dont realize that you cant possibly have ran 100+ auctions and not pi$$ somebody off somehow.the funny thing is though that i always seam to get the worst service from the big companies and engine builders-taking too long to ship over stupid little stuff,or just plain leaving stuff out of my order,or sending me the wrong stuff altogether.the only time i get what i want, is when i buy it off ebay.it might take a little longer than i'd like, but when i open the box,the stuff i ordered is in there.

Four days and your threatening him with buyer protection on something you havn't payed for? I would have been a d*ck too.

Ok both of you.... I have infact been screwed on ebay multiple times before. Now Every one starts off with the credit they deserve, untill proven otherwise.... After the first few days he seemed like I might have problems (I understand I payed a penny.... thought maybe I wouldnt get them...) so I layed it on the table.... I am traking my purchases and following throught on them, whats worng with that.... Like I said in the first post I EXAGERATED IM SORRY....

And are you saying I was complaining about the shipping costs... casue if you read it I never said a word about it!!!!!!! He out of the blue refunded me 5, i NEVER asked for that..... amatter of fact I dont know how he could have shiopped those for 10 smacks.... if you figure, box, tape, packaging, gas to go to store (if you figure that all in witch most consumers dont)... Like I said If its a low money item I sold I too will add in 1-2 dollars to shipping.... its not wrong.....

Either way I believe it all fine now the transaction finished fine!

i didnt mean to sound as if you did anything wrong,my appologies.i just said what i said to illustrate how this feedback forum can be damaging to peoples reputations over what is what can some times be the buyers expecting too much from an online fleamarket transaction.just my .02

if u figure all that in and charge it as SHIPPING it is illegal......... u cant do that....... something to do with some kinda trade law....... thats why if u look closely at any bill from someone in which u have special ordered and or they had to transfer it in from somewhere else for u there is a shipping AND HANDLING charge....... the only person who can set a shipping charge is the shipping company...... i see it on ebay all the time and to be honest it cracks me up...... if ur gonna try and recoup your expenses for packaging and gas to the pos office and what not u have to call it handling or your breaking sme kinda fair trade law or something

I just find it odd that you did a negative feedback on the guy when he obviously kept in contact daily. Also threatning him with action on the fourth day. Ebay states you dont even have to make contact untill the third day after the auction ends. Like Jacob06 said it seams like people get worked up to easy and want to drag peoples name through the mud.

Yes in my auction it always say shipping and handling....

most peoples dont realise that there is more then sthe cost of shipping there is the supply to get and the time spend to go top the USPS or UPS or any other freighter.
