I may can get mine if I can get time to go get them.
The heck with the bouys................. What about the wake boats??????
2 Tige' wakeboard boats w/fat sacks ---IF--- everything stays on track-which so far is-will have a waiver for people to sign-don't wanna piss anyone off-but at the same time-sheit happens. As far as everything stayin on track-the boat operators work crazy schedules-as long as they don't get called in-we are good.

Paul- u don't know how ready I am to bust a backy-I might need to pimp yer ski for a minute-I can get the SXR perfectly flat/upside down-pull like hell on the bars and push like hell w/my feet---and I still land perfectly flat/
upside down/it don't hurt that bad-just pisses me off that I can't get high enuf to finish the rotation. In the surf it is sooooo freakin easy-hang on and let the wave adn the engine do all the work/not that way on flat water tho.

So I'm not the only one that sucks on a bouy course when riding a superjet. Stock intake grate and ride plate probably doesn't help either.
I always ride my blaster when I bring out the bouys. I don't know how fast ya'lls SXR's are, but I might be able to hang on my blaster. It's a stock blaster with a b-pipe and a few other goodies on it. We'll see. Maybe you all can show me a few things.

I've got 5 red and 5 yellow, but they only have 10ft of rope on them cuz I had them set up for the intercoastal back in Florida where its rare to ride in more than 5-6ft.

So whats the talk about wetsuits is this lake unusually cold right now? Will a shorty work? thinking about coming over for the ride
weather forecast is 76 on Sat and 81 on Sun-water is still comfortable w/o wetsuit. Shorty would be perfect. Lows of 52 Fri night and 55 Sat night.
DOES EVERYONE WANNA DO A BON-FIRE SAT NIGHT AT PARK OR MY HOUSE??? YALL DECIDE AND LET ME KNOW!

09-27-2006, 07:05 PM
Hmm... Burn your house down or burn the park down? decisions decisions:biggrin:
Wed evening at 7pm-72 degrees at the park-pleasant to say the least.
If everyone goes to the rear of the park-look for cabins#1 thru #6 and
pavilion#2 there is a dirt trail between the pavilion and the cabins-follow it STRAIGHT to the water-there is approx 1/2 mile of solid shoreline that would
be safe to launch from and not get stuck-talked to the park manager that lives on the premises-asked bout launching from bank-he said 1 st car or truck he has to bring tractor down to pull out of the lake and we will all be asked to leave by the Cullman County Sherrifs Dept!!! PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE IF U LAUNCH FROM BANK!!! The boat patrol is all on the TN river in Decatur-so that should be no issue. There is NO CHARGE to get into the park-
suggestion-we all know the poor bastards work for the county and don't make any money-if everyone were to give them a 5.00 tip w/they come thru the gate-they would probaly help us instead of being a pain in the azz.///Just a thought-use your own judgement.

WELL-dammit-
I learned this evening that David Cook-the marine police guy that patrols this end of the lake that is not patroling this end of the lake right now---lives at the entrance to Smith Lake Park. I talked w/him the other day and he said---
NO PROBLEM---called him back this evening to make sure he hasn't changed his F!@ing mind-and can u guess??? He now also works as park security and works for Alabama Power who owns the lake(didn't know they could own a lake)-and his instructions from Alabama Power are to issue citations/arrest/and or convict on the premise of felony tresspassing if anyone is caught w/a motorized vehicle on the shoreline below the 'full pool'
line which is 510'. The lake is currently at 487.7'. NOW-w/all that said-HE said
"what I don't see, won't be a problem" then said that vehicles parked along shoreline must remain at 510' mark which is bout 100-150 yards away from the current shoreline. He was adament about us NOT launching from the bank
where we would be parked. He states we need to use boat ramp which is next to the park-by water is about 250-300 yds from boat ramp to where we would be beaching the ski's. Feel free to use myself, Cheryl, and Sherry as ski's niggas or car niggas to help get yer stuff from point a to point b. If anyone brings beach carts-that would be awesome!!! W/beach carts-bank launching would be a breeze and LEGAL. Last topic was he don't care if we do a Saturday night bonfire at the shoreline-so bring lawn chairs and we'll get ripped. I HATED POSTING THIS-BUT BETTER TO TELL U GUYS I F@#@ED NOW-THAN TO LET U GET A TICKET THIS WEEKEND. It figures-I try 900 ways to cover ALL the bases-and 1 person screws it up-If I had known he lives where he does-I'd of suggested Speegles during the day like Barbara and Jarrod have said all along-tho technically-he has juristiction there too.
Now for the long story short-Same rules as Bald Ridge campground at Lanier.

Sorry to hear about your ass Shonuff. I really just thought you were being a p*ssy also. Maybe you should stick to blasters from now on, wait you have to first get up on one. No really I can't thank you enough for helping me out with that battery. You saved the day for me. It turns out I also have your jumper cables.:banghead: I'm going to go to the post office early this week and look into sending that stuff back to you. I feel really bad keeping that battery and I've got to get the jumper cables back to you anyways.
Thanks to Gil for throwing this together and thanks to everyone for letting me ride their ski's and making me realize how much I need footholds and a bpipe ASAP.
Anyways I can't wait to do some more riding with you guys. We need to keep a close eye on the gulf surf and possibly make a trip down there if we end up getting some surf.

Yup - kinda toasty around the shoulders and neck! Yesterday was a great day - good to meet some new people and catch up with the regulars. I'm so glad we brought the boat - seems like everyone had fun on the wake. Regina and Kelsey were so cute sitting on the back - they had the biggest grins on their faces the whole time we were all trying to damage ourselves
I'm a little stiff today, and my sinuses are definitely full of Smith Lake water, but no injuries to speak of - a breakthrough weekend for me :woot:

Well, the continued pain in the behind (literaly) FINALLY made me go to the doctor today and the folks at Baptist Minor Medical center in Cordova sent me to Baptist Rehab Center for X-Rays.
