Joe, Have you figured out the event schedule? When will you have it? Do you have an idea when we will be competing?

Im curious to know how we are getting grouped together for elimination style rounds. Who is choosing and what is it based on?

I nudged joe on these questions yesterday - you should see a tentative schedule soon.

It's my understanding the riders will be paired up for heats (I'm assuming by random draw), and the top 8 will advance.

The remaining 8 will be paired up and compete for 4 transfer spots. The initial 8 get a bye in that round.

Then there will be a quarter-final round where the 12 competitors will battle it out for the last 6 semi-finals spots.

The final 6 will compete for the final three spots.....and

The final round will consist of the last three advancing competitiors whippin' it up in the surf for their podium spots.

Is the final round going to be all 3 riders at once. I need to know so i can prepare my equip for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just messing around. its going to be a tough comp.
I really like the idea of double elimination for the 8 "2nd place" finishers from the first round of elims.

The schedule is as follows:

Thurs
12:00 pm - arrive, ride
3:00 pm - nap
6:00 pm - ride
sundown to sunrise - drink

Rinse and repeate.

JK and I have been in Havasu all week - I'm pretty sure his "mobile office" doesn't have internet access, so I'd bet you'll hear from him later this week on the schedule...just didn't want you to think he was ignoring your question ;)

we will be starting practise on sat morning at 7 or 730.
practice will have only two or three riders in the water at a time.
the entire beach may be ridden all the time south of the grand street entrance.
carol ann and i will be working on the schedule and i should have detailed info by friday!
