Ken asked me for a exhaust outlet back around x-mas. I told him I would send it out. Mean while I got a couple of pm's saying don't sell to that dirtbag. Well I told ken I would so I held my word with him. So he sends me a mo and a note to send it to patrick miller. I almost sent the mo back when I seen patricks name I still have 2 friends that can get there paypal back because of patrick. (There's about 5 threads about it). It was x-mas I could have used the money and I didn't want to stiff ken. Just now ken send me a pm saying he didn't get it and want his money back. Its only been almost 4 months to date. I can tell you right now I will not be sending any money back and its the reason I only take money orders

Ok, there are a number of people here that will back me up on this.
I'll start with the easiest, which is user "nvjay775".

Back in December, I'm building my Blaster. I see bad93blaster is making a rear exhaust tube for like $100.
I pm him, and ask him how much shipped, and that I absolutely need it by Christmas.
He PM's me back a $$$ amt, and I ask for his paypal to pay him.
He says he has no paypal, only takes money orders.
I say cool, give me your address. He does, and I send out the money order, in full, the same day, with a detailed note to send the exhaust fitting to patric miller in Orlando who is helping me install my rear exhaust.
I have reciepts, copies, etc. for EVERYTHING.

Long story short, it doesn't show up.
I PM him, and get no response for quite some time.
Finally, I get a very short response that "I'm plowing snow and that comes first".
I PM back....no response. And he's not coming on the site either.
So, I post in the general forum if anyone knows him and/or has a phone number so I can call him. A couple users here PM me back, say they know him and will tell him I'm trying to contact him. I thank them all. And wait. Still no reponse from bad93blaster.

In the mean time, Daytona is getting closer and closer, and I'm stuck. No way to finish my ski, because bad93blaster has my money and my part.

So, I make copies of my money order, my letter enclosed to him, the dated envelope, etc etc., and ask for my pipe ASAP.
No response from bad93blaster.

By now, it's like the 2nd week of January I think. Daytona is a week or less away.

Out of the blue, user nvjay775 send me a PM and asks me what's going on with my blaster build. I tell him the whole story.
nvjay775 tells me he's got one of those exhaust fittings, and if he'll take it out of his ski and give it to me for Daytona, then I can either pay him $147 for it and the shipping, or I can have bad93blaster just send him mine that I paid for directly instead of sending it to me or to patric miller.
Long story short, nvjay775 sends the part to patric miller in Orlando, my ski gets done for Daytona, and still nothing and no word from bad93blaster.

About a month goes by, and nvjay775 contacts me, and I know I've gotta square up with him. So, I tell him I'm gonna try one more time and if I don't hear from him, I'll just paypal him $147 or some parts or whatever. He's cool with that.

Periodically, I keep checking, and bad93blaster isn't coming on the site. And I have no way to contact him other than regular mail.

If you notice, I sell some stuff on here once in a while or more, and I NEVER post in the negative feedback section. NEVER. And I have my reasons for that. I feel that way too often it ends up as a drama thread and/or a witch hunt....neither of which, IMO, are productive or good for the site.
Not to mention maybe a year ago, I bought some parts from a user here in I think Idaho, and they showed up here THIRTY ONE DAYS from the postmarked date on the box. So, given what happened that time, I have a very slow trigger finger in blasting someone about my stuff not getting to me in a timely fashion. I know from experience that things can happen.

At this point, I'm out the $125 or so I paid bad93blaster, and I'm out the $147 that I now owe nvjay775.

Fast forward to this week:
I come on the site one morning, and right on the home page I see bad93blaster has posted in some thread.
I immediately check my pm's, and nothing from him. So, I send him a PM right away saying that I'd like my part or my money back. Either one. And I'm polite, and respectful. Not vulgar, etc. Just two sentences.

Bad93blaster PM's me back, with attitude. Tell's me to "talk to my boy Patric".
So, of course, I call Patric miller right away.
He tells me the same story as he has from the begining: no pipe from bad93blaster, got pipe from nvjay775. That one is in my ski.

So, I PM bad93blaster and, again, politely ask for a tracking number from him.
No answer. No response.

....and now I find this....and negative feedback saying he'll never sell to me.
Why?
I don't know.
I am the one out the money. Bad93blaster is not.
I am the one out the pipe. Bad93blaster is not.

That's a very telling statement




Moral of the story: As a seller, ALWAYS purchase insurance and/or delivery confirmation. Yes, the USPS is the cheapest way to ship most of the time, but the least dependable.

As a buyer, ALWAYS demand that the seller purchase tracking and/or insurance. Even if YOU have to pay the extra $.95 or whatever.

According to the MoneyGram automated system, the money order that I sent to bad93blaster for $118.00 (that was the exact amount of our transaction) was cashed on
January 26th, 2010.



Guess that kills the whole "It was x-mas I could have used the money...." argument.
Didn't even cash the cashiers check I sent him until 32 days after Christmas.

...and if you don't believe that I will spend $1,000 or more to collect on a $100 part I have coming, just ask user "toyzNH" if I will or wont do it....I'm trying very very very hard to make this easy and be reasonable here.

different deals happen, and there's 2 sides to every store.....I can tell you that I have bought close to 2,000 dollars with of parts from Ken and not only have they been as or better than described he has driven across the state to deliver them to me TWICE

2 hulls, 1 carbon fiber Blowsion hood, a blowsion pump....a pump shoe that he shipped me for free and never asked for any money for.....


Now he is shipping parts all over these boards to people for the cost of shipping....yep, sounds like a rip off artist to me! :dunce:

the reason im not giving him his money back is because i shipped the part 4 months ago. if i knew with a reasonable amount of time he didnt get it. it would be different.

I'm on the phone with FedEx as I'm typing this.
The reps name Darren Thomas.
He is telling me that YOU, the shipper, need to call 800-463-3339 and open claim for a lost or stolen shipment.
He will send you a claim form, and in 3 business days they will contact you, the shipper. They will decide if YOU the shipper are entitled to a refund. Since you did not request insurance for the item, you are only entitled to a refund of $100.
I will pay you the extra $18 for shipping if they credit you the $100., and you can then send the part to NVJAY755, or you can just send me my $100 back. Either way is fine with me.

1) YOU didn't pay to insure the package, nor did you offer me, the buyer, the option to purchase insurance (goes back to your total lack of communication with me on this deal)

2) YOU didn't require signature confirmation when you shipped it, nor did you offer me that option.

Sometimes, selling on the boards can be, let's say...not so easy or profitable (trust me, I know). It takes months and years to get a good selling reputation, and only ONE bad transaction to totally destroy it, regardless if you are right or wrong in the situation (again, trust me, I know).
A couple months back, about the same time actually that I purchased this item from you, a user here that I know pretty darn well referred a user here that I didn't know to me for an odd-ball part. I told him I had it, and he paypalled me $20 shipped for it to California. It cost me $14 to ship it, plus I paid the paypal fees, and never even thought to buy insurance on it or delivery confirmation. But, whatever, I like his friend and I did it mostly for him and not the guy who actually bought it from me.
Long story short, a month goes by, and he blasts me for ripping him off, not sending the part, files a paypal dispute, etc etc.
I blast him back....then realize, as a seller here, I probably gotta send him ANOTHER part for free.
Which, I did.
I actually had to BUY the part from another user here who this guy lives near, and the guy picked it up the following weekend.
So, I lost the cost of the original part, the cost of the original shipping, the cost of the second part, and the paypal fees for it.

(...and the dude never even thanked me.) Not that I expected it, I guess.

My point is that you are now in that boat. And I'm sorry that you are.
But you can rectify the situation and it won't cost you a dime.
All you have to do is make ONE phone call, and fill out ONE form.
....and,,,,,TADA! Situation dealt with and handled and over (as I stated in an earlier post, I will even pay the second shipping fee of $18).

first of all im not in the same boat as you. it was pretty simple you payed me i shipped and fedex delivered it. if you or your buddy cant pick a package that weighs 1.9 lbs isnt my fault or fedex's. what are you talking about my lack of communication with you? you waited 4 months to tell me. thats your lack of communication not mine. cant you that excuse i wasnt on because posted in that thread a couple of times since dealing with you. i dont know if you thought because you bought something off on me means im going to call you every week to see how your doing.
