good find everybody that is selling a ski cheap needs a battery so funny you can get a cheapo at wal mart in the states for 35 dollars, you know the old jet ski saying beware of a ski that only needs a battery , so i always bring a good battery and compression tester with me

It just needed a battery to get it running, but it has been sititng and will need the usual going over to be water ready. I'm going to do crank seals and gaskets and carb cleanout/rebuild. Otherwise it's ugly as the summer days are long, it's all painted early 90's and has airbrusk Sonic and Taz on it... Anyway it is pretty well decked out with A/m parts like PJS exhaust and Westcoast box, head and manifolds exhaust and intake, 44 carb, Oecean pro nozel and PJS plate and grate. Prop looks like skat but not sure. It's needs soem wiring redone and the mats are a mess. I will need a new set of mats or some bulk turf if anyone's got any. Also the gas cap is cracked need one of them too. I'll do a build thread once I get all the crud off of it.

good for you that is a steal with those mods , hey any x2 you buy will need some love, parts are cheap and plenty , great info here check out the sticky on mods, keep us posted

Here ar the pics of it now. IT has issues, but for 200 it was a heck of a deal. It takes on water in the rain sitting on the trailer so that will have to be fixed as well as carb rebuild and crank seals. Starter gets lazy after a few cranks so a used starter is needed. I also need a gas cap the one on the ski is cracked. IT's actually a 1990 model. I also need the cover that goes over the gas cap. Otherwise it is a good starting point. Not sure it I have time to get it water ready for Daytona, but I might give it a try. Oh and yes it will be sanded and painted soon too. I have some left over 2 part bright red that is most likely going on it. Seat cover will get dyed black most likely.

hey that looks not bad, why worry about the crank seals right away, do a compression test and take off flywheel cover and see if there is any oil, i just got my summons from the state of virginia of course i did not pay it my license is susppened , big deal i will just have to be careful next year, the ticket went up from 35 dollars to 110 , i was going to pay it but now they got me mad , with the court fees they cant do anything about my canadian license
