it runs lol . motor full of water for years . hooked up a batt and it turned over lol . pumped the water out and got it fired up (with no carb!!!) crank is toast. its just funny that it ran at all .

cleaned the hull up inside some. replaced the mounts (had used ones) drive shaft bearing is shot (its kawe) got a new one. forgot the stock sxr pipe at work. going to cut the left side foot tray out to do rear exhaust. mite do a pump dump or possable out the side. was thinking about a scupper on the right side to help with the water issue x2's are known for. any one do one? i see how to mod the hood to help keep the water out.(at least the way i think will help)more to come on this one lol. trying to get this done before the water is frozen.

no its a 85.
droped the 750 in for a mock up with the stock sxr exhaust. good news is it will fit.bad news is there some glass work envolved. the stock x2 exhaust outlet is in the way. i was thinking about cutting the right side foot tray open .put a westcoast silencer in there and foam it in.run the rubber hose infront of the motor across the hull and out the right rear. exit the exhaust into the pump area.or out the side.
going to lose the dule carbs go with a single 46.stock 750 sx ele box.

made a mess today. lol i hate defoaming. i will weld the 2 pipe together.still have to figure out an exhaust outlet in the rear.i was going to square off the back of the ski but i changed my mind. i am going put it through on an angle.hull was bone dry inside. water box up front is going this will give me way more room for a fuel tank and the 750 ele box,batt.

its in there. tubes are tacked then the hoses are on. going to foam it all in. next its the scupper on the other side. going to try and get it all the way in the back next to the drive shaft bearing housing.

thanks . i worked some more tonight. wasnt plaining on cutting the left side tray out but found that its full of water. the top of the tray was cracked in 2 spots. oh well made it easy to do the drain valve.its just mocked up now. i have to get some six-10 and glue it in. install the tray and refoam it all.

i have ben slacking on the x2. i did glass and foam in the left side tray and half of the right side (ran out of foam)started to cut the turf . i will post some pics later. heading out to work on it now. i still need to seal the exhaust tube to the hull inside.i had some of the bonding glue from kawasaki i used that on the drain tube and the back of the exhaust tube.ran out of it. going to use sxi-10 from west to finish.
cut the front gas fill out glassed in the door. removed the water box (dont think i will be useing one). i may try a superjet gas tank or a have an old large 550 westcoast tank.

i saw your glasswork on the x2 in person the other day... its looking good even though you say you suck at glasswork. you don't need to pay tommy for that... just do it yourself, its not hard. the sanding is the hardest part.

all most got it done and running tonight. rizzo put a timing advancer in befroe i got the motor from him. well bolted it all in exhaust all done tank in batt tray and batt in ele box mounted line runs,bars,start/stop,throttle. go to start it and it just cranks no spark. ok swap out the box (i only set up like 100 of these ove rthe years) figure i may have pinched a wire or somthing. nope new box still no spark. pull the stator. rizzo put the advance on backwards lol. never in my life have i seen this done lol. .i knew i should of checked it before i put the dam ski all together. waisted all kinds of time dicking around with it.

still have glass work to do on the hood. old truck is giving me a spare hood to cut up so i dont mess up mine (yet) lol had it running tonight dam its loud!! mite have to put a water box up in the nose.
next is a quick test ride. anyone want to go to the ramp? dam its coooold out.
after the test ride i need to pull the jet pump and go over it. going to run 1 1/2 cooling line. motor is mostly stock. i have a 3.5 mm stroker crank i may put in this boat if i like it.
p.s. thanks for the bars bruce they look good!!! i have to cut the grips off put my trade mark set of grips and bar ends on.
i spent the money i had for turf on the ramp project for daytona lol. figured i didnt need turf right now anyway.

running as of tonight. still need to strap the ele box in. i used a 650 sx gas tank it fit with the exhaust wraping around the front much better.got th egrips off (didnt cut them lol) carb is way off on the jetting . ran it sounded rich on the trailer so you know its way rich. had 157.5 high speed and a 130 low. 2.3 needle 21 lb pop off. i just droped the main down for now to a 135. sounds better need to get it to the water. hoping to test it sat or sunday. quick ride at the ramp.pix later. tired

once it gets water in it its not so bad. but when its dry ouch!! i am going to make a water box for up in the nose. i hate loud skis. i didnt think it would be so loud with the stock sxr exhaust. the motor is stock no less. 150 psi head.

got it down to the water today for the 1st time. let me set the storie i took 2 skis the the ramp. my blaster and the x2 . one on a trailer and one in the back of my truck. i put the x2 in 1st pulled out to flip the trailer around and pulled the b1 out of the bed. buy the time i got the b1 in the water the x2 was sunk. lol not in the motor yet but close. i guess the scupper had somthing stuck in it. slid it up the ramp it drained itself pretty fast. fired it up and off i went. its not 2 loud when theres water in the exhaust. good power for a pretty much stock 750. whats the deal with the crap stearing in this ski?

i bent the short shaft for the bird cage. and i didnt even beat on the ski yet. whats the best way to fix this?

I think there is a certain year x2 that they switch the steering to. It is better than the other years. Check the x2 forum and see.

I cut 1.5 inches or so off the back of mine, D cut the ride plate, Accusteer steering system and have no complaints at all other than i need to pony up 500 bucks for a aluminum charging fly wheel lol

trust me just putting umi steering on makes huge difference, im getting like three quaters round on a barrel roll on a stock 650 with umi. i got my 780cc freestyle one coming out soon :) :brap:

havent got it to the water again this year yet. i am a mission to backflip(that i still havent done) my superjet this year. so i have ben just riding the superjet every time i go out. i replaced the prop on the x2 it had the stock prop in it still. the next test ride it should be alot faster.
