The later x2 drive shaft was a larger diameter than the earlier one right? Is it necessary to run a later heaver shaft behind a 750 donk. or do you think I will get away with the lighter one (earler one)?

i wouldnt say it is nessary to run the lata one if you havent got one , ive been running a small dia one for a couple off years now on my 800, then again i did snap one when i was only useing a 650 go figure

so it prob doesn't really matter? bit lighter, maybe flex alittle more, but should snap.

I have never snapped a driveshaft - the later shafts are larger diameter indeed, provided your driveshaft is straight and serviceable, I'd run it.

I have one of each. I wouldn't sweat it personally either way. I flipped out the first time I saw the early version. I bought an X2 to part out. Well I had all post larger X2's and 650 SX berfore that. So I had never seen a smaller one. Here I thought I had an aftermarket driveshaft. Nope, I just thought wrong... lol
