What are you going to do as far as acc cable goes, have you made a bracket off the carbie to run an x2 cable? or will you be running 650 acc cable pulling from the bottom, I just bought an accelarator wheel, I have to make my bracket b4 the weekend.

Not to much, have to get a pump shoe from a doner 750sx or sxi (maybe you can get them new) then you have to muck around to get that to fit then glass or glue it in..
You have to modify your x-2 ride plate and shorten you 750sx or sxi scoop grate (or you can mod a standard 650 one i guess) but its easer to shorten a 750 one.. then you can either silicolon the whole pump in or you can build up the serounding part of the pump with glass filler and use the rubber pump seal, if you dont think you will remove it again id go with silicon.

The hood locks on x2 are shiza or on any ski really (clips have come undone yes).. If your jumping waves you would be silly not to have additional hood straps. Not to mention if you are doing stabs or subs or rolls there is allot of presure on tha hood.

yeah i agree... i rock 4 hood hooks
Thats what i origionaly was going to do (even bought more hood locks) but i thought into it further, The hood has allot of flex and can often jump off the locks (when landing on it side) even with the latch locked... I figued if it can jump off with 2 then it could jump off with 4, so i thought a strap that adds support to the front as well as the back would be best....
Philipcyde works ok it seems? trick looking ski.

Thanks. It does shift a little side to side. But I'm not worried at all about it coming off. I located the front hooks down low so they pull real tight. I think your straps are pretty much the safest thing I've seen though.

The only thing that would keep my hood on was some major reinforcement on the back side to strengthen the hood, and two heavy duty straps crossing from corer to corner with stainless hardware. I eventually quite using the hood latches all together and only used the straps. Only way to go IMO.

which is why I cut down in the first place, to get rid of the 90deg that stabed through my wetsuit and into my knee, how far up the side have you cut?? You cannont tell in your picture....
extended ride plate with a D-cut whats the theory behind that?

stock length plate (shortened shredmaster) d-cut, and tapered to fit the 2" cut on the hull. the tunnel was cut to the seat latch and the tow eye moved to the side of the tunnel. sides are cut at the top of the slope then tapered down

why would you cut your ski then put an extended ride plate on it... defeats the purpose?? Or you know not extended but stock rather than choped down?
id like to see a pic of your sides,

Carbs are twin 48 powerbombs
145 tops
115 piliots
2.5 N&S
115g spring (im going to put a 95 in it)
Yeah exhaust and inlets on the cylinder have been ported, (i didnt cut out the sleave in the inlet as many do) as has inlet and exh manifold also been ported (& no case porting, just epoxyed the drain)-
Kart tank was an off shelf item- I fitted twin pickups in the back (as can be seen) then there was 2 other take-offs which i used for return & breather, just used the factory clips which held the tank in and found some shorter straps. - hope that helped.

- hope that helped.
problem is i only get 15-20min out of the tank..

I run the chamber and I just added to the center bleed to match the water box and I moved the water fitting. I run a stock tank with no problem after alittle heating and molding.
Where did you get those cable ends by the pump?

Oh and in those top surf brace mounts are bent bad! Thats what happened with my jet ski haven one too. That brace is doing nothing bent like that. Also the way it doesn't bolt in at the brace let's it move, not good.
Thats why we built our Rad Dudes brace, if you just want the top braces to fix yours so it's doing something pm me. Or if you want a whole brace.

Yeah i agree its a pritty lousy design- Deffently be intrested in buying the top braces, or i supose i could just make somthing up- no reel reason to buy the whole thing if you can PM your price that would be good
