I was thinking about this earlier....Not sure if I can make it out this late again this year. I'm curious about a Smith Lake Ride though. WE're just not letting Adrian pick the dates

WF's is ending the 1st week of October.
I think the Panama City race is re-scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 14th.
I propose the weekend of Oct. 21st.

If the Pamama City race is after world finals, would points go toward next year, or would it be like a practice race or something?:rolleyes:

Since I live on Smith Lake-I'd be happy to try to organize a ride/place to camp/place to hang out and not get harrassed if there is any real interest. Let me know in this thread if you are interested in a Smith Lake ride and the dates that are good for you-try to list multiple weekends
that is good for you so we can all make a educated decision as to when.

Gil....WE foound a wonderfull camping area with good bathrooms(like real hot water!!! REAL hot) and a good launch and everythign was peachy. Thats the spot I wanna camp at again. Barbra will know what I'm tlaking about.....

Smith lake isnt but like 1.5h form me and lanier is in the 4 area......to be honest I'm gonna be drained after Nats and would much rather keep it simple the rest of the year.

Maybe the same weekend as Freestylefest? Sept 23-24 I think. That way you can go somewhere no matter where you are on the east coast. Now we just need to get a Texas and West coast ride to coincide!

But u r soooo right-it used to be a sweeet place to hang out-and ONLY 2 miles from my house-can u say REAL FOOD????? I will try like hell to pull it off if u promise to come and help try to promote a ride-it would suck to kiss a bunch of azzz for 4-5 people to show up. I think 10-15 peeps and I could justify takin 1 for the team.

Yes. Mike Young and I met with the Tourist Develpoment Council and the Management from Edgewater Beach Resort and they gave Mike the thumbs up for an October event. I still have not heard a firm date from him, but they were looking at late October.

Just think---if you win the World's---PCB could be your first competition as a Pro. :cool2:

The one good thing bout this time of year is-NO boats of any kind-incl boat patrol!!! We have the lake to ourselves-all 500 miles of shoreline. It gets boring-but its nice not having to look over your shoulder. I was serious about working on the people at Smith Lake Park to let us take over the park for a weekend if yall will committ to a weekend and let me know when. Pick a couple different dates that are good for u and I will make it work.

Speegle's marina would be a keen launch site because you can actually drive the truck down to the waterline. Very handy for tool access / gas. It's only 3 miles or so from Smith Lake Park - campsite.

Surely someone knows peeps with a wakeboard boat that would come out and set us up some waves for a while. We could all throw $5 or so in a hat and buy them 20 gal of gas for their trouble. Flat water is cool, but some wave action would make for some extra fun.

i'm down for lanier.that lake is just a different animal with the 400k cabin cruisers.:outtahere:we just need to get a firm date, its getting close to october.maybe we could get an admin to do a poll about it.and start doing roll call.
