My 91 Sj Freestyle project

I started working on my ski back in October, but in-order to fund my project my business comes first. Ok after blondes. I reinforced the hull, added the kicker footholds, body filled and sanded it down with 60-80-100-180-220. I believe I am ready to start priming. I'll be using Omni epoxy primer. I'll continue to post more pics as the project unfolds.. Also installing the frp hood liner..

Did you use something to fill in the bottom, like evercoat or something, fill up any scratches? I did, looks like you might have?

you need to go higher then 220. take it to 320 before you prime. im not an expert but my friend is .he does :Banane01: custom paint jobs.painted for 15 years. just my 2 cents. looks good so far. im right in middle of same project.

I'll take your advice and go to 320grit. I decided after reading Luke's thread about him being motivated to reinforce the hull. I did reinforce the bottom, but not the sides, now that is done as well. Here are some pics..I did it last night, then I had a late night freak come over.. For a little boom boom in the bedroom:Banane01: :Banane01:. That chickenhead, bounced in the middle of the night because of "I think the fumes are coming through the walls" :sneaky: I told her "You woke me up for this shizzle, get the F____ out my house, I have work in about 2 hours,u woke me up for this" Thought I might share.

Yo 2lick! I used bondo's fiberglass filler.. A friend of mine works a yacht club, and said it would be fine.. That they used it on yachts here and there...
