I caught a great deal on sixsixone.com back in May. Their 05 carbon full-face helmet, normally $200, was on sale for $90 so I placed an online order and received receipt confirmation. A week later I get an email saying they will not have any more of this helmet in stock until mid-July and should they keep my order open? Of course, that's still a killer deal! So I email them last week to see what the deal is and now they say they will not be making that helmet anymore but I can choose another helmet :lame: . I write back that the 06 model carbon helmet is expected to be released in mid-Aug and I will wait for that as a comparable exchange or maybe we can work out a deal. They will not honor that or any deal but rather offered up a fiberglass helmet for the retail cost of $140. :bs2: In short, Sixsixone.com sold me a helmet at one price and customer service informed me over two months later that they would not even meet me halfway on the cost of a comparable helmet that they clearly can afford to occasionally discount. :bs2:

I understand prices change but as long as they are advertising a price and advertising the item as "in-stock" or "expected to ship", I expect the deal to be honored. At least work with me...

I think by law they have to honor the original price they sold the discontinued helmet for. Ask to talk to a manager of the customer service, hell even ask for someone higher in the company.

Thats too bad, I have the full face carbon helmet, the red flame one, and I love it, when full of water is feels atleast 1 pound lighter than my buddies FLY helmet that is also full of water

Thanks for working with sixsixone on this one for me Chuck! :bigok:

Chalk this negative experience up to a former sixsixone employee who is no longer with the company. I have heard nothing but good about the company and its products, it's a shame that one bad apple sent my head spinning. Editting thread title...

661 is a GREAT company, second to none customer service always. I had to jump in and keep one of my distrubitors on top. I knew they would fix the issue.
