View Full Version : how cold is the water then?

figuring if my wet suit will cut it or not. or if i should buy a new one.

its real unpredictable. I would say yes, you'll need one, last year was cold. then again it wasnt 100 degrees today last year. The ocean is extremely warm right now, but that could change drastically in a weeks time. So to answer your question, yes, you will most likely need a wetsuit unless the water is freakishly warm.

I was fine in my regular wet suit... it was getting out of the water that was cold...

No, JK, The waves rocked, the Rain and nasty wind, Sucked..

It should be nicer this year. its a little earlier and We will do sacrifices to the wave gods ! :haha:

last year was cold the first day and nice the next so bring what you have and if we are lucky we wont need anything.

my drysuit kicked butt last year!

I rode till around that time in october last year and your fine with one full wetsuit. The ocean stays warm for a while.

I was fine in the water with my suit. It was once you got out with the wind and rain it SUCKED....
