Ok guys I have just got my 95 750sx all rebuilt and on the water. I am use to riding a 90 650sx and my question is, how do I get my 750 to top out on the water without it hopping. I am having trouble trying to figure out were to stand in the tub so it wont bounce. Right now I can only get about 3/4 out of it before it starts hopping. Any ideas will help me out right now.:splatt:

It's called porpoising.

Step 1 is get the longest ride plate you can.
#1 plate is probably the jet dynamics JJ plate (18") sold by blowsion

Step 2 would be hull extensions IF you are not satisfied by the jet dynamics plate.

You'll just want to shift your weight around the tray to see what position works for you.

[That pretty much sums it up.I am 220 Ibs and run the long jet dynamics plate and just stay low and lean as far forward as you can over the bars.

Thanks guys. As a matter of fact I just bought a jet ride plate this past week and it should be showing put today. This make me feel better about that plate, when I bought it I wasnt to sure how much it will help but now I know.

it also helps to put weight in nose of ski or lead under fuel tank.

One of my friends put a shorter round nose SJ pole on his, and it made a huge difference.

Something else that I have been wondering about is, do they make a aftermarket waterbox for these ski's, ok do yall just bypass the waterbox all together?

The Jetcraft Turbomuff is the best waterbox for a 750, good luck finding one though.

I had a factory dry pipe on my 750 sx and by past the water box.Sounded really good and never had a problem with it.May be a little loud for some people but I like it.

I have a spare aftermarket aluminum water box if you want one...it improved performance on my ski vs stock.....not sure who made it....

I put a handlepole that was 2" shorter than stock on an old 750SX that I had - I was shocked at the difference that it made in handling (for the better) including porpoise-resistance.

Get a top loader intake grate. It will help temendously and its a pretty cheap mod
