hey bought my ski just over a year ago and after this summer justabout breaking my ankle from coming down on the ski when it got away from me i figure foot holds are the way to go, did a bunch of looking on forums, this is my first time doing this and went with waterdawgs because i have size 14 feet and these seem big so if u see me doing something wrong let me know this may give some other guys what they're in for when doing waterdawgs

the rails ripperd off last summer from doing subs so i had just temporarily glassed over them, stripped it and started hacking, wanted to get them super far back so went real slow and ended up with a real tight fit in the corner leaving as much foam as i could in, cut for the exhaust a little but my foot doesn't go up there anyway and the second pic my ski is sitting on a home made cart if anyones interested i can post more details about it...

so 10 hours later got it all trimmed out and used 2 part semi hard epoxy and aluminum rivits to secure them in there before i glass it now i know this may be overkill on the glass but better than over than under. that's as far as i am gotta finish the glass then the plan is to use grey diamond cut turf with 8 mm underpad. i'd like to do the whole side, rail and hold in one piece of turf cuz that looks so killer but i realize that may be a litte ambitious for a first timer but it does look killer! let me know what ya think and i'll post as i go

got the sides done today it was super tough and took forever to get all the cuts right and to get everything to line up get me know what ya think. so the only thing i'm still wondering about is how to properly seal the edges along the outeredge cleanly cutting that straight is real tough
for glue i used refrigeration grade insulation cement and it worked perfectly
overall i think it looks killer

Take a heat gun and warm up all curved areas to heat set the turf, it will stay put much longer that way. Just about when its too hot to touch without gloves, but not so hot it melts, same at the edges. Practice on a scrap.

Looks good. Cut the exposed edges at a 45 degree angle and seal with superglue. It should last a long time that way. I was also curious to how far your hood hangs over your rails without the rail caps on. Can you get a pic of that?

ya i have the other rail cap still to put on and the gap is about an inch and a half under the hood, but barely noticable i'll post up a pic tomorrow, i figure that the extra space makes for more air available for the intake

really happy with how they turned out wish i would have run the turf further over the rail caps but overall it's comfy and i'm glad i set them back as far as i did and got some straight bars on, got out this weekend half the ice had melted on the lake but it was real cold still
