I have a TDR waterbox on my SJ with B pipe with rear exhaust. Not sure if a baffle or power spray but it is significantly louder. Almost on the edge of annoying to anyone else on the lake. I have been questioned a few times on the decibal levels as most lakes in my area have a limit. Good they they can't actually test for it out there. I have bought a front exhaust kit to put on too, but have not installed it for fear of the noise level that would be created.

I would like to hear a youtube clip or something of a ski with an TDR waterbox on it as well. Anyone have one or care to load one?

Thanks!

It's not a huge difference. I've got the perfect side by side comparison video at work. I'll post it up for you tomorrow.

I run TDR boxes on both my SX-Rs.

Here is a post I made before. This is B pipe limited on a 850 cc motor TDR water box with dual front and rear exhaust. WAY TOO loud. I like loud and this is annoying.

one thing to think about is you are going to actually lose bottom end if you go with the power spray.

So whats the advantage of the box then, other than it is lighter? Is the weight savings worth the loss of bottom power?

So does the baffled one not make you lose power? Also, where do we buy these?

I run one in a 760 Sj with an extra water sprayer and a extra flow control valve. It sounds like a CBR 600 with a pipe! Its loud and dry off idle and quiet and high R's.

I think it was way to loud before the dual cooling IMO.

On a Kawi, they make your ski sound AWESOME!

No real power gain you are just paying for sound. Is there something wrong with your stock water box?

Is it just the baffled silencer one or the power spray and did you have to rejet it or do anything? Im looking at getting one for my 08 SXR.

I run the baffled one and love it and there was a gain in power for me the stocker is restrictive on a sxr in my opinion.

Did you have to rejet it or do anything? Also did you just have to pull the gas tank out to install it? or do you need to take the pipe off to?

Just my 2 cents if you are looking for more power and lighter as well in a waterbox I wouldnt go with a tdr. They are louder and thats about it. To install it on a sxr you have the pull the pipe, motor, gas tank to change out the waterbox

I was running a wet pipe ,all i had to do was remove the gas tank and the tdr is lighter by the way .

Has anyone done any gps before and after testing? i ran the tdr on my zxi years ago and it lost topend, sounded good though. and ive also talked with groupK and Macc Racing (i figure they know more about the sxr than me) and they both stand very firm against them because of the power loss? just asking

Probably true.

Sounds too awesome not to make the switch though.

If its just a top end loss its not so bad but i would like to know if it affects the bottum end bc im lookin at getin one but not if its gonna affect my preformace

ive got a ported 760 superjet with a factory pipe type 4 and the tdr waterbox and its so freakin loud. but i love it, it sounds like some sort of drag car or drag bike IMO. not sure if it does much performance wise as it came on the ski when i got it. i was thinking i might put on a stock one some day so im wondering if ill lose power or have to rejet

i was told that the tdr would make me lose power by an engine builder who will go un-named .i couldnt help myself i had to find out for myself.so i purchased the tdr baffled model and found that this thing rocks!!!!! fitment:perfect ,just a tad thinner then stock but otherwise every thing lined up perfect.i must say for freestyle riding this thing rips ,my engine spins up that much faster and really compliments my wet pipe/flywheel combo, good low-end improvement.i can tell my engine is really breathing better ,it did affect my jetting a little making it leaner ,im in the process of adjustment now but i think its something that can be dealt with with just the screws.anyways thumbs up tdr.... oh yea did i mention it sounds bad ass!
