View Full Version : Who's up for running some bouys at the Skyway this Thursday?

Anyone from Florida interested in running some bouys on Thursday and/or this weekend at the Sunshine Skyway.

I've got a blaster that I am thinking about racing at the St. Pete race at the end of the month and I'm looking for some guys to practice with.

I know at least one more blaster will be there and possibly some runabouts.

I don't object to having some standups/runabouts out there. It just helps to simulate race course conditions.

I've got the bouys so all you have to do is show up.

What is this thing "bouy?" BTW, godocgo will eat your lunch in that race. You'll need a Co2 mask in just in order to finish safely no? :nana:

Rojer that. I'm just looking forward to watching Lee and Scottie Mac and Scottie Macs bro ripping it up out there. I'll be racing just to get a front row seat of those guys whippin up on some HX's.:woot:

I'd be happy to just finish before on an HX on my slow blaster.

I do want to make sure I can go on the next "surf trip" with you guys. I'm hoping it will be on separate days.

My big bore B1 should be complete for the St. Pete race, I got a budy who lives over there, we will be staying there. Shiot, maybe have a little get together one of those nights. I usualy get podiums or 1st when I am drunk or hung over in a Mini Mx race.lol

Sounds like there may me a nice full sport class, I am stoked!

Scotti Mac Is racing St pete? I thought he lived far away? I cant Wait!!!!!!!!

So how fast realy are these fast guys? Looks like im about to find out! Dont hate on the Barney mobile with a limited B pipe out there doin circles around you guys. lol J/K no, I am realy just kidding, just yell when your coming up behind me to lap me, I may already be swimming.lol

I'm pretty sure that Scottie was thinking about making the drive. I may have heard wrong though.

Right on.:headbang: I was thinking about also making a trip to the east coast this weekend. I ran it by Reed already and I'm waiting to hear back from him. Would you and Ollie be interested? I think there are going to be some guys riding at Daytona.

no, I'm moving this weekend. You can ask ollie but he's the type who needs a lot of notice to fit things in usually.

hey guy's the day to be there is sunday. thats the day we ride. usually pretty big turnouts. more then some races! luke chafin ,ryan beaver , rob coy, pete kucinski, wade chapin, chris stone,brian simpson , jan , myself (chase) and a bunch of other people plus there are usally people taking pictures.

you know, none of my boys around here ever want to run buoys....granted, my heart lives in the surf.........but buoys are fun as hell!!!!!!!!!

hehe.. exactly! That was fun as hell though and highly recommended to do again sometime as a change of pace. And you're 100% correct... I did have to duck and then bail after Ollie went wide on me w/o knowing I was coming along side!:crazy:

That's okay... Just as long as I don't get beat up toooo bad by HX's.
To bad there isn't a beginner class for us slow folks.. :biggrin:

It will be nice to see some nicely setup Blasters though.
