Well this has been a 3 month mission. Much bigger job than I thought it would be in the beginning! I have had this ski for awhile but when the tray caved in it was time for complete overhaul. Paint done by a local paint shop called Beam Brothers. I know the color is a bit much but it’s good to be visible when riding in the ocean. You can’t miss me now! Wanted to follow the build from the beginning but was to lazy. Almost done now.

Hull-

I cut out the tray and old footholds, removed all the old foam. Installed one way valve and new footholds. Than it was time to reinforced the tray bottom and sides and re-foam.
Next glassed in the fuel filler and the tubbies. I also reinforced the engine compartment sides. I cut the turf for this ski from a sheet and it took me over 6 hours to complete! I just could not seem to get it cut right for the side panel/foot hold area. It was my first full on turf job. First re-foam to! What a b!tch. Here is a list of what went in to hull.

Blowsion Tubbies
Blowsion one way valve
Blowsion Klowner foot holds
Blowsion Glass/carbon reinforcement kits (engine compartment and tray bottom and sides)
XFT Carbon hood and nose piece.
XFT Billet pole mount
XFT hood seal.

Nice!! You can ride at night now!! Seriously, it looks really sharp. Just wondering if your local water cops will have an issue with the smallish reg. numbers. Up here they need to be a minimum of 3" in height.

I wanted the Reg numbers small. Luckily no water cops where I ride. My XFT hull has nothing at all. I have been riding it for 3-4 months no problem. Cali has the same 3" Height reg.
