Which model and year Tigershark coupler adapts to the X2 driveshaft and Yamaha coupler (engine side)? Thanks.

If it was already asked, sorry. But can it be done the other way? ie...Getting a UMI billet kawi coupler that fits the yamaha driveshaft?

Yes it can be done either way,but which ever way it is set up thats the way it has to stay, the spacing and offset of the couplers is different,

Good to know about the setup because I'm looking at either the ADA couplers or just going with the Tigershark coupler. What sucks about going with the ADA or UMI kit is the drive shaft coupler is useless if you plan on keeping the Kawi driveshaft.

Thanks guys. I guess the real question is.... which moves the motor further forward? Thats the one you want. Clearing the headpipe and the side of the hull/steer tower, is my biggest worry. I am going to try to do some mockup's this weekend and take pics, now that I have my spare 701 available.

the billet 1's will have less rotating mass / similar to a lightened flywheel

Judging by this photo I would say the UMI setup will put the engine farther foward.

My setup is using the tigershark coupler. It puts the engine plenty far forward, further than the stock Kawi engine. It clears my hull supports just fine.

What plate are you using to mount the 701?Prototyping as we speak, should have something done possibly late today.

I was using the jetskihaven b650/760/800 bedplate that I modified myself. I hope to be giving Crab's prototype a whirl here soon. I was planning to glass in some mounts for the yamaha setup before Daytona, but I'm going to see how this shakes out and hopefully give his method a try. :439:
