View Full Version : Cheapest way to re cover X2 seat?

thought about getting some stuff i found at the fabric store that is sort of a canvas material....
any thoughts on a cheap way to do this?

That or vinyl,stretch ,staple ,done at least use monel staples though or you will get rust stains on your hull.
He is right, marine vinyl is at the fabric store and with a heat gun it can be made to stretch nicely. Monel staples are at Home Depot.

ah ha... thank you. i didnt even think about the rust from the staples. good call!
Heat the plastic a little before shooting staples, they go in easier.

def, the plastic is hard as a mofo. b patient, heat and gently streach.

The plastic is not UV stable and turns to crap rather quickly when exposed to direct sunlight.:Eyecrazy:
