Butch, get a Lamey already... with all the engines you tear up it would save you a fortune.

I have a 62T 701.(yes it is a 62T) Need to be bored to 81.5 or 82. Can make you a deal on it.

Oh yeah...where is that flywheel you owe me? Got a Rad now so do not really need it anymore.

its not the 84mm bore that caused that
just the lack of a girdle
but yes go a lamey
its what you really want anyway

Non girdled heads are a thing of the past!
i say girdle anything non stock.. pipe, head, porting, etc. Just to be safe.
Gridal studs and acorn nuts for all the merry men I say!
Domes and orings and sillycone... lol

if you spend $2000.00 on a Lamey you could save the $100.00 on Girdal head, you wont need w/ Lamey its not gonna crack. How about just going Billett ADA bigbore? For $2200.00 they throw in a girdle head.

Hey Nikad?

Did you really JB weld that cracked cylinder?

will it be ok with a Girdled head after that?

ive got one that is cracked as well, not that bad even, and I wanted to do that.

but feared it would get worse.

Did you stop drill the crackes or anything?

got photos of the repair?

Gotcha.

I was wondering.

It would have saved me a trip to a freinds shop with a High Freq box on his TIG machine.

Thanks for the input, and advice.

lol i missed that.. I was only kidding about the JB weld.. To me that crack is way to big to weld without having to do alot of mechine work after.. poof, in the trash
