reinstalled xp now no wireless options

I reinstalled xp and now under nerwork connections there is no wireless connections available.

do I need a new driver?

I can connect with a wire just not wirelessly.

Does the wireless card show up in network connections?

Click Start, settings, control panel, system, hardware tab, device manager, network adapters, and see if you have one listed with a ? beside it. You probably need to install the drivers like you first suspected.

1394 net adapter that is working
broad com 440x 10/100 integrated controller working

but under other devices:
? network controller

When you find the drivers you can delete it from the Device Manager list then click Action, Scan for hardware changes. It should prompt you for the driver location. Good luck. Searching for drivers can be a pain.

looks like I missed one driver earlier. Dell has a lot of network drivers for this PC.
