JS550 hood

Hi, I am thinking about buying a cheap 550 and I see that on the front right side of the hood there is an intake. will the intake allow water to get in or will it let air in and bypass the water. will this intake be a problem during subs, and fountains and just riding around and playing?

yes, water will get in, but Install a bilge pump and you will be fine....That scoop acts as a perfect handhold!

Water will get in no matter what, but as BK said, I use it all the time as a handhold!

I sub mine all the time, like every one said get a good bilge.
