There's about a centimeter of slack that doesn't retract on the throttle end of the cable when the trigger is pulled. I tried tightening it at both ends but got nowhere? Any ideas?

Thanks

I just cut my pole down -3 too, but I don't think that should make a difference

I don't think you are adjusting thing's right unless maybe it is the wrong cable

Depending on the carb/manifold/cable you run you may need to use an aftermarket throttle wheel to give you more options. Most aftermarket carb setups are easier to setup with one.

It's the stock cable. I'm gonna give it another try tomorrow, but I played around on the carb on back and forth for like 20 minutes and got no where? thanks for the responses

How old is the cable? Is it stretched? Also could be that you are out of adjustment now that you've shortened the pole. The throttle wheel would probably take care of that. I have a sn that I put a rn pole on (shorter) and I have the same slop. I just made sure that wide open throttle at the finger pull was WOT at the carb and figured I was good.

Shortening the pole should not matter and will not affect the cable adjustment.
