Confused....Need some serious help. Please

So here is an interesting one for you all. my computer keeps telling me I do not have any space left on my hard drive. So I go and check and low and behold it says 0 bytes left? WTF

I don't know where this came from so I decided to try a quick fix and delete unused files and programs.

So I did and still no free space. I had to have deleted close to a gig or more.

Before this occurred I still had plenty of room on my hard drive.

empty the trash can, it's in the upper left side of the desktop, right click on it to empty

I did that right after I deleted everything.

Is this Vista? I have been getting this question a lot lately.

If it is Vista I think it is creating to many restore points. I gotta check in to this.

If it is XP it will need at least 4 or 5 gigs of free space to even function properly.

How big is the drive?
