i got to ride my x2 in big waves on my 2 week vacation , it is a great surf ski with the tubbies, we had 3 x2s riding at one time on monday, dont see that to often, during the 2 weeks i seen about 7 different x2s, i even rode the ex canadian champs x2 of 1991. i really like using x2 guys trim it worked great in bigger waves was getting some good air. and who says that kawasakis are not reliable, my has been working great all summer with little wrenching

Back to reality now I guess Mario....Sucks but at least you spent the last 2 weeks skiing everyday.
Go figure...all those x2's together in one spot and I saw no wrench in sight.

Nice man. Can't wait to see some footage Justin! I wish to god I had waves around here to try a backy off of. I'm itching like crazy to try it. Obviously much easier said than done, but I've yet to even have a wave capable of it. Thats the good thing about rolls, I can almost nail them on flatwater, so the smallest little wave and I get around. Backies are a totally different game!

I wish I could man. It's only a 36 hour drive to Oregon from here. Atleast thats what it took me last time. I swear I'll back flip my ski before long. I'm going to nut up and try as SOON as I see a wave big enough. I really wish I could get a double up wave going on our lake back home. You wouldn't think it would be that damn hard, but I can never get more than one boat willing.
If X2Rags would hurry up and get his damn wakemaker done we'd have one already sitting at the dock, and only need to rook one person. Go steal my dads vortec heads Rags. I won't tell him it was you, he's probably forgotten we even asked by now.

Nice man. I had my doubts buddy, but you did it! I'd REALLY like to see some vids of you rolling not on your own helmet cam. Not out of doubt, just love to see it. You don't see many X2's rolling. Thats why I was DETERMINED to nail it this year. I wish I could hit waves like that. Looks like a blast. You guys have it made down there. I was supposed to be coming down there to ride next week, but looks like trips off due to my fiance becoming unemployed this week. I'll try like hell to make it down there before too long. I could still go by myself, but I don't think I'd be leaving a home to come back to!

Whats the secret to getting around?

On flat water, balls, and power. In the surf, not much to it I would assume.. It's hard as hell on flat water to get enough rotation/time, but when I can even hit a decent boat wave I don't have any trouble. I just cut the bars and crank the gas! Oh yeah, and hold the hell on! When I first started getting it around I ALWAYS blew my feet out of the straps. Now that I'm using wrestling boots, my feet are jammed into the straps nicely and don't seem to flail like they did.

I switched to old sneakers for the same reason, jamb my feet in tite.

Highly doubtful. my fiance lost her job, and I just got arrested for possession by the sea pigs at the lake a couple weeks ago. :smashfreakB:
Doesn't look like I'm going to be able to swing the trip. Between her deal, and me getting that charge, we had to cancel our trip to Florida this week too. I'm bummed about it.

Nah Matt wasn't there, luckily. It wasn't really a searching situation. I just polled up at the wrong time, it was odious if you know what I mean. Long story..
It's all good. Bound to happen occasionally. After it's all said and done, I now have a fire extinguisher wrapped in turf and zip tied around my mounter mounts underneath the carbs. Legal for the first time in a while. Atleast on the ski.

Well I love rolling my on the biggest wave I can find. The bigger the better obviously. When they are big the roll feels almost effortless. You can just float it around. Small waves I really have to increase my rotation speed and pull hard. If the right wave ever presents itself while I am on my x then I will likely try it. I wont throw it willy nilly because my x is not reinforced. One bad backy landing and I think it would explode. I destroyed too many sj hoods learning backies on stand up. I am lovin the helmet cam.
