Just wondering what rideplate everyone uses for flatwater? I have a protec extended plate. I want the best for flatwater freestyle. What do u Flatwater guys use?
Short or long?

Wow, no one uses rideplates on there fx-1's. Wish i new, I would have pulled mine right off after i bought it if i knew that trick.:bananapowerslide:

Well I run a stock d-cut. I cant see what good an extended would do you except for high speed running on flat water. I pretty much suck at freestyle so take that FWIW.

I have a extended pro-tec ride plate.........it works really well on flat water!

Its tough for most of us fx1 guys there isn't the abundance of ride plates like there are for sj's. I've only used the jet dynamics and protec, and I like the jet dynamics better for carving.

Possibly doing a d-cut in a jet dynamics would be good for freestyle, but cutting a $175 plate is a bit risky if you don't like it. I have two protec's and I might consider d-cutting one of them eventually.

Thanks guys. I run a extended protec but was just wondering what everyone used for freestyle. I may buy a stock one and d-cut it just to c how i like it
