Ok so I built an X2 this summer with a 650 motor ported ,bored 3mm over west coast head, jet sport pipe, 46mm mikuni, total loss fly wheel, and trim system chopped hull etc. The problem is soon as I ride it I find the crank is bad just when I get theb damn thing buttoned up. So now I have to tear it down, should I punt and go for a bigger motor since I've waited this long to ride. Should I try to pick up a 750? Has anybody been happy with a 650 motor? Iv'e got too much invested in it to sell , Hell my brand new UMI steering today.

I will have to say Madscientist's ski pulls like a mofo for a 650 and has killer bottom end.

thanks wedo i get that alot from verteran riders
the only way i can justify the 750 upgrade is if 1 fell into my hands but i am considering a 850 pjs stroker motor from jetskihaven
just have to get caught up on some bills and such first
terry we discussed the over bore and 3mm would put it pretty close to a 750 wouldn't it?

Round 2 of questions: I know my head will fit a 750 but will a jet sport exhaust manifold fit a 750 some say yes I just dont know. What about electronic? My mind is pretty much made up Ive got other skis to ride while the weather is good. But if theres guys out there that are satisfied with their 650s I would like to here because I have little faith in them right now.

A 750 out of the box is not much of a jump from a well modded 650. But if you build up the 750 with a FP, compression, timing advance, lightweight 650 flywheel....there is no comparison. NONE!!
Yes your exhaust manifold will fit.

The 2mm bore only gets you to 668cc,thats as far as Wiseco goes on o/s pistons,Personally I am still interested in the big bore 650 in a 750 crankcase,I will build one,if it dosen't work I will build something else.

Alright CRAB i'm setting on a 61x cylinder85mm, ADA girdled head , 7mm stroker crank, and Type 9 dry pipe with water injection I just took off my wifes ski. She didnt like going 60mph

Now thats what I'm talkin bout... only you might need to ditch the dry in favor of a "B" limited to fit in the hull. Tigershark coupler will fit on the Kawi driveshaft and mesh with the Yami coupler.

Shawn will tell you, Yami power is the BOMB...

The other thing is I have 2000 SJ hull I was going to throw that in , but I just picked up a bada$$ SJ from DUBCHOPS so that build will be this winter. I just would like to see the X2 run this year and the fastest easiest way is to stay a 650 but if im going to take it apart again and not be happy why waste the time. And jetskihaven does have some sick motors.

Do you just need a 650 crank?

I'd just get an SBT crank and put that thing on the water. $250 to put a tricked 650 on the wtaer isn't bad. However, if you lost the pistons, rings, need a hone, etc, I'd say it's a waste of money. You could get a 750 for $400 or a 800 for maybe as cheap at $600.
Everything from the 650 will bolt onto the 750 except the intake manifold. You will need a new manifold or a conversion plate, which I may have one to sell... The exhaust will most likely need to be bored. The electronics can be shared but you will need to split the 750 cases to properly tap for the electronics.
A 650 isn't bad. Get it on the water. The only reason I didn't fix my 650 is because I could get a 750 for less than it cost to fix the 650.

No I already got one Im just pissed that I spent alot of the summer chopping the hull, shaving the hull, and putting X2 guys Trim system on it before I went and tested the motor. I just wanted everything set up when I rode it and low n behold motor problem. Basically I'm gun shy on this motor because I here more about the 750 rather than the 650.

It won't be $250.00,its more like $325.00 but yeah put it together already

Get the head milled for more compression and buy a FP that will work with your soon to be had 750 motor....lol Other than that save for a 750/800.

Good swirl modded prop, or stock SXR cut to fit, around 12/17 with an 84/85mm nozzle and short pump cone. FREE THE PONIES.....

Damn it I'll start looking for a 750 this winter when I can pick one up cheap but till then I'll stick with this motor I think I can get it put together before IJSBA world final in havasu city I'm going to go watch the freestyle and racing anybody going that might want to ride?

i was disappointed that gassem missed the x2travaganza since i was to take a spin on that beast. john said he has been riding the 440/50 conversion ski of his that has 1 of those in it and said it is SICK!!!
you heard me right
I believe he said it is almost too powerfull to fully enjoy and was going to perhaps go to smaller sxr carbs to smooth out the power a bit. It has almost too much hit.:sad6:

I guess I'll have to try my B Pipe off my wifes ski and put that dry pipe back on . Thanks for the help !!! With you guys knowledge I might turn my luck around . Think it will hurt that its a mod chamber?

After I thought about it the manifold and head pipe are one piece on a jet sport pipe. I think I can find a west coast and I'm sure theres no simple tune on the pipe like on most SJs.

The electronics can be shared but you will need to split the 750 cases to properly tap for the electronics.
Could you explain more about this?
Is there a 650-750 conversion "How To" anywhere?

Yes there are plenty of how to threads on here and www.pwctoday.com You will just have to do a search to find them.
