hp dv6000 will not turn on

hey guys need some help my hp dv6000 will not turn on. When i hit the power button all the lights come on but before the screen comes on the computer kicks off. Any help would be great.

It does it when it is plugged in also could it still be the Batt?

I hate working on laptops!!

Does it have an external display adapter? (Somewhere U can plug a regular monitor into)

When was the last time it worked? Any changes made since then?

Yes it does have the expansion ports. i was having the problems but it always came on. now it just kicks off everytime. Guess i need to take it to the repair shop.

U could try plugging it into a regular monitor and see if you get a picture.

U could try taking out the memory and seeing if it beeps at you when you turn it on. (This'll tell you if the MB is probably working.)

Are you sure it's not turning on? Does the screen come on at all? Have you tried holding a flashlight flush to the screen to test the backlight?

how do you take out the memory? I know its kicking off i can hear it and all the lights on it goes off.
