I came up on a Factory B Pipe for a Superjet but I'm sure everyone knows it has a longer chamber than the FX1 chamber. Can it be made to fit? I've heard of people heating up gas tanks and reshaping them. Is this possible to get the clearence I need? Can the Superjet chamber be cut down and rewelded or should I just suck it up and hit up Blowsion for the correct FX1 chamber? Does anyone have an FX1 chamber they'd be willing to trade for a Superjet chamber?
if its a mod chamber it will drop right in...
never tried to fit a limited chamber, but Im sure yoiu coud trade it for a mod or have it cut and welded to fit...
You'd want to section out about 1.5"

as you can see , there isnt much of a difference between the superjet mod chamber and the fx-1 chamber. they will both work. all the rest of the parts on the pipe are exactly the same.
(the longer one is the fx-1 chamber. other than the length and the dent for the water strainer thingy, they look the same)

Thanks infamy but I must be crazy because there is no way the pipe in my SJ will fit in my FX1 without hitting the tank. Am I missing something here? I'll try and post some pics tomorrow.

do you know what chamber you have? maybe you have the limited chamber. ive never owned one or compared one to the fx-1 chamber so im not sure how it would fit.

Hey Issac...did the SJ mod chamber make the same power? It looks almost the same, but I thought the mod chamber is for built / ported motors...as you know mine's bone stock so I am kinda surprised. FPP says 19.8HP for the FX1 pipe...I dont care about small amounts but overall how did it run? I want the most low end/mid hit possible!

try reading up a bit on the subject...what youre asking is a VERY subjective question
mod chamber will work great....you will make great bottom end if you know how to jet and have the patience to tune it which is fairly easy in itself
the mod chamber might rub the tank a bit, but just shove a piece of hydroturf in there...no worries

ya I just found the thread in the tech section and read it. I rode Issac's fx with an actual fx b-pipe, girdled head, and sj pump and it was awesome - great mid range hit, but I would prefer it even lower down. Part of this is the prop, but when I do end up getting a pipe (and head) I want the biggest low end hit - I dont really care about going fast in a straight line just want the thing to JUMP out of the water!

With my ported motor, could I use the Superjet B head pipe, the superjet B mod chamber, and a 3 gal gas tank? Would that give me enough room? Or d?oes the Superjet B pipe with the mod chamber fit without any mods at all?
Just wanna be clear before I spend any more $$$$
