Just wanted to show some of you fx1 guys the ski Moto360 and I have been building.
Thanks to SpecialFX's detailed directions we did the Kawi pump mod. Gotta say it was more difficult then I was expecting, but I really didn't have much fiberglassing experience prior to this project.
We were able to find the bearings and seals to get the kawi 900 driveshaft into the yamaha bulkhead support. The seal is 52x20x7 and I forget the thickness of the bearing. But if anyone is interested I could look it up and also post the number of the place I called in Rochester, NY who was more than helpful in finding them for me.
Theres a pic of the ski when I got it last fall. A few changes to the body lines and a layer of glass and carbon for reinforcement. Its currently all painted and finished minus turf, pole pad, and graphics. I took a good amount of pics during the build if anyone wants to see any in particular.

Cool! Post more pics and the numbers of the bearings/seals you used. I had looked for bearings/seals to use and couldn't find anything suitable. If they are correct size, load/rpm rating and have s/s seal springs then I could be out of the bearing housing machining business (that would make me happy!).

For the seals I'm using Timken 100115977. Size 20x52x7. They are double lip seals and I believe there is a spring on one lip, but I'm not positive. I can't find the number for the bearing used but it was similar to one found in McMaster-Carr. #5972K56. Its double sealed and can spin up to 9000 rpm.
For the guys running kawi pumps I was hoping you could give me some impeller pitch recomendations. I'm planning on getting a trm pump cone eventually, but Its not going to be in the budget for at least a month. I'm trying to get a prop as soon as possible. We put a 650sx 16.5 pitch in for now and it is definitely not enough. My motor is rec ported, wetjet intake with a blackjack 46, mrd head with 180psi, and factory pipe.

I see you have done some serious hood mods. Do you have pictures of that side of your build?

Thanks for the compliments in the ski. but on the hood I bought it from waterdawg customz. Also bought the pole bracket and front hood latch from them. I'm happy with the quality of all three.

I'm running a stock SXR prop (13/18) and set back 6mm and I'm using an R&D pump cone. I'm pretty damn happy with it so far, but I would like to try a 12/17 skat swirl.
I don't know how intent you are in going with the TBM cone, but the R&D cone is identical in function and can be had for $290 from Atlantic Jetsports....FYI
Either cone you go with will require some additional mods due to the fact they're made for an SXR pump. For the R&D cone, you need to make a .167" spacer for the rear of the pump bearing cap. I believe the TBM needs same but the measurement is likely different.

special fx - Have you looked into if those bearings and seals will be adequate? Just want to know if I should plan on rebuilding over the winter.
